Looks good doesn't it... Well this is the new OS on the block. Titled gOS, it doesn't stand for Google OS, but Good OS. After hours of waiting to get a download link because the mirrors are under massive loads, so I have put up my own mirror. Its on a super speedy connection so have fun.

What does this offer over Ubuntu? Does it still have the software manager? What can this do that Ubuntu can't do? Does it have all the same features Ubuntu has?

I maybe blind but what is the marketing point of this product?
Looks like somebody slapped their logo on Ubuntu.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's marketed towards netbook owners and I guess older PCs.

I confess to beinng an illiterate Linux user, but I have tried most versions over theyears to have some idea od what the discussions are about.
The above remark has been my impression of most, I'm afraid. With a very few exceptions (Xandros springs to mind as one) they all appear, at least to me, to be exactly the same and with pretty much the same features (and bugs).
