Fantastic, does that mean the beta program as begun again? I was in the original (one build) v9 beta but haven't gotten any additional notifications yet...

Excellent. The new Windows Live installer is a nice upgrade, it however doesn't work. I had no problems setting it up through the other method. I lose my Messenger plus functionality (Should be fixed soon, as it was with the original 9.0 beta) and it is still filled with ads, I'll have to get to taking those out again... (H)

Well, I'm sure that once the leak gets into broader distribution add-ons like A-Patch and Messenger Plus will get updated for the new version. Other than that, everything works ok for me in this build (that I've tried so far).

Video Calls work perfect, I had an 2 hour video call with my GF and then it was about an hour just the cam.

I don't think they will resume the beta program until they get near release.
The problem is that testers are suppose to keep quiet instead of leaking the build within minutes of the release.

that means, it's near RTM
maybe a RC build, but they don't label it as such.

I also believe MS will release Windows 7 when its in late beta or early RC.

Okay, however when I tried it, The other contact could not see my call invitation and when he tried to send an invite, he got signed out. Note we are both using the same version now.

I remember reading an artice that Microsoft planned to have this version released by the end of this year / late this year sometime. It would make sense as this is version 2009, the primary version that people will be using most of 2009 (If they choose to upgrade, that is)

Ooh! Great!

I'm going to wait till A-patch arrives for it though. I can barely stand an unpatched WLM.

Great, Installed the build and A-patched it :P

Was working a few minutes ago though, but now it's reporting that the service is temporarily unavailable when I try to sign in :?

I probably A-patched it an hour ago and I've been on since. I still have trouble with Video Calling though...

A very nice build. The conversation window updated layout is awesome. I think they really try to improve UI since the crappy Live Messenager 8. It's much better.

Early WLM 8.0 Betas was such a joke.

8.5 was better and 9.0 will be the same.

The not able to sign in problem is caused by apatch, depending on how you patch it, it could result in WLM not able to sign in. It says the server not avalable without even checking.

So I have to uninstall it and don't apatch it for it to work normally.
