I found this on internet. This is what the discription sais:

With Cairo you can transform your desktop from the dated Windows user interface to a brand new system that will change the way you use your computer forever. Taking advantage of proven functionality, and with stability and performance in mind, the Cairo Desktop system aims to give users a productive and easy to use shell that advances current technology standards. Never get lost in a sea of windows again.

It lookslike this:

By the looks of it, its just a shell (yes i know you mean that) that let Windows look like Mac OS X.
The screenshots looks like it.

Yeah, it looks nice. I don't know if I've ever been lost in a sea of windows though, and I don't see how this is going to fix that problem. I mean, this also has windows.

I can't really see how jabbing at Windows being outdated is possible when OSX has been around since around the same time Windows XP was released.

I believe he is refering to windows as the class where you draw controls and not the Microsoft's operating system.

Just for the fun of it, I propose we link the orgins of Mac OS X to Mach and BSD :D

This was in response to "Never get lost in a sea of windows again." Here I was referring to the windows, not the operating system named Windows. It looks like there are windows open in the screenshots.

Here I was referring to Windows the operating system and this: "dated Windows user interface"

I'd like to try it out when it's finished though, it looks really nice.

I saw this a few months back. Very nice, but the project seems unusually ambitious... like vaporware.
