Get your @Live.com email address!

Post by Vista Ultimate R2 »

Since yesterday Windows Live Mail started, first in The Netherlands, so Dutch users could sign up @live.nl addresses. Now there is a hack in the signup procedure so everybody can sign up for live.com or other local live domains.
Basically just go http://get.live.com/getlive/overview and then paste the following in the address bar:

Code: Select all

javascript:function r(q){} function s(q){e[q] = new Option(a[q],a[q])}; r(e = document.getElementById("idomain").options);r(d="live.");r(a = new Array("hotmail.com","hotmail.co.uk","msn.com",d+"com",d+"com.au",d+"be",d+"ca",d+"co.uk",d+"de",d+"fr",d+"it"/*mEss.be*/,d+"nl")); for (i=0;i<a.length;i++){ s(i ) }alert("Success - additional domains added!");
Get @Live.com, @Live.co.uk etc by selecting the domain you want from the drop-down list - I registered myfirstname.mylastname@live.com You can even modify the JavaScript to register a Live ID of the form yourname@microsoft.com, but alas it doesn't allow you to use Live Mail with an @Microsoft.com address

Just tried this, seems they took it down for now.

Got the error:
We are working to fix a temporary problem with our sign-up service.
Please try again.
When I tried register a microsoft.com adresse.

Only if someone's not already registered what you've got in front of the @ for Hotmail with Live. Anyway, I hear that Microsoft have just patched this, so you'll have to wait until Live.fr is officially released

well its not hard really, you see the @live.com part was blocked using CSS, and since FF allows you to turn off CSS they are able to see what is actually there, as for the javascript, the guy is insane who thought of that
