My question to you now Vista users, is with this SP1 release, does this make Vista a lot faster or more stable to use on a day-to-day basis? I plan on installing Vista on my iMac in the near future, and don't want to risk installing an OS that I would never touch.

SP1 makes vista better and more stable, but it does not slove all the problems, or performance issues.
Copying files on xp is still 20% faster.

Is this the same as the RTM that came out a month or two ago?
