Put all the files inside the Souris, Trackball folder into a floppy called "Mouse/Trackball (Logitech Mouse Driver version 6.30) Rev.A"
Put all the files inside the Additional programs\PROGSDOS folder into a floppy called "Supplementals Programs Version 1.07 for MS-DOS 6 Rev.A"
Put all the files inside the Additional programs\PROGSWIN folder into a floppy called "Supplementals Programs Version 1.47 for Windows 3.1 Rev.A"
Put all the files inside the Display Driver Support for Microsoft Windows\DISK1 folder into a floppy called "Display Driver Support for Microsoft Windows Floppy 1/2 Version 1.47 Rev.A"
Put all the files inside the Display Driver Support for Microsoft Windows\DISK2 folder into a floppy called "Display Driver Support for Microsoft Windows Floppy 2/2 Version 1.47 Rev.A"

Make sure that the floppies are not bootable.

Pack them up as : COMPAQ Support Recovery Kit (1994)
Grab the original floppies that I uploaded and pack them up as Microsoft Windows 3.1 (1994) (Compaq OEM) (French) (Rev.G).

NB : The website does have a copy of the Windows 3.1 OEM version in english too.

/[Help]/Release 5

It seems that the Windows NT 4 Enterprise (Beta 2) is partialy a beta :

If you take time to compare the modified files in i386 (those dated from 1997) you can see that : There are all inf files (except for the Enterprise component installer in which I will talk further). These files has been modified to start the component named NHLOADER.EXE. This component dated from 1997 and described as an Windows NT Enterprise Edition Installer with a version number of 1.00.0017 does install the sp3 plus the Windows NT Enterprise Beta2 Components into the system. What to consider is no Windows NT4 Enterprise edition (RTM) exist with sp3. They only exist starting with sp4. In conclusion, it seems that Microsoft Packed a modified NT4 RTM release to be able to install the beta components found on disc2.

-> Disc1.iso : Windows NT 4 Server RTM (SP1) modified to install sp3 + components found on disc2
-> Disc2.iso : Windows NT 4 Enterprise (Beta2) Components

Edit: Also, I forgot to mention that they changed the wallpaper too.

Those "kanjitalk" ISO's are some Japanese Mac OS tool. More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KanjiTalk
However the ISOs appear to be corrupt (at least the 7.1 version).

- Added Release 13

This may be an incomplete set, but please do check it and let me know what to label it all. From what I see this is a RM restoration kit.

- Added Release 14

This is not the full upload as many uploaded archives were still broken/incomplete. I've added the archives that were good and most interesting for us to sort. I will add more here as the uploads complete. Compare these to what we got and let me know what's good to keep.

I've added more stuff here. Again, please check and get back with what's good and what's not. To get a move on these Help folders I will start removing them after a while if none of them gets processed or checked.

Darkstar uploaded a bunch of Windows 2000 builds. They were all folder dumps (i386 folder only) and I quickly created bootable ISOs from them using the bootsector of one of our other Windows 2000 beta ISOs. All except b2151 get stuck somewhere in the boot process. Someone should take a look at these and see if they can make them boot properly. I used VMWare Workstation 11.0 with a default Windows 2000 profile to test them and I used CDIMAGE 2.27 to create the ISOs.

I got 1965 to work, however I need to redo some installs in other emulators just to see if this builds only works on virtualbox, then I will post the steps on how to install it.

Image

Edit : Finished Readme.txt, Finished repacking the iso, removed timebomb crack, I just need to retest that and I will upload it.

Currently Trying : 5.0.1969.1

Edit 2 :

I can verify that 2020 installs on PCem. However, it does not have mouse support currently.

EDIT: Here's 2020:

Took a look at a few of the Service Packs Newnec1 uploaded:

Image
Code:
1152 - New
     - Confirmed working
     - 2600.xpsp2.021217-1051 (Service Pack 2, RC 2.2)
     - CSDBuildNumber 514
     - The name and CSDBuildNumber is probably some kind of a leftover, as this was hardly RC and also isn't 514
     - No visible source of the 1152, as the ntoskrnl is 1155. This should therefore be called 1155 probably?

Image
Code:
1185 - Identical to the one on BA
     - Confirmed working
     - 2600.xpsp2.030313-1931 (Service Pack 2, v.1185)
     - CSDBuildNumber 1185

Image
Code:
1194 - New
     - Confirmed working
     - 2600.xpsp2.030401-1855 (Service Pack 2, v.1194)
     - CSDBuildNumber 1194

Image
Code:
1204 - Differs from the one on BA in two last bytes (which should be 00 00 anyway), so Newnec1's copy is more original
     - Confirmed working
     - 2600.xpsp2.030410-1604 (Service Pack 2, v.1204)
     - CSDBuildNumber 1204

Image
Code:
1213 - Identical to the one on BA
     - Confirmed working
     - 2600.xpsp2.030424-1654 (Service Pack 2, v.1213)
     - CSDBuildNumber 1213

Beta 1213 - IDENTICAL to 1213

If I have the time I might look at the rest, but I learned the hard way not to promise much :)

I can say that build 1994 is installable after 1 hour of troubleshooting because setup crash before gui mode and in gui mode.

Image

This week-end I will test all builds in a P3 PC (real hardware) and report the fixes needed for all builds.

Edit : Update 2015/24/06 :

Image
Windows 2000 Professional or Server, you choose

1964 cannot be installed if you boot from a cd or use the boot floppies, however I managed to get it working with the dos installation path. There are a couple of things to note here : first the branding, it's interesting how winver and only winver displays the professional branding, winlogon and all other ui elements display the Server Branding. Secondly, this build like 1965, 1969, 1994 do have a display driver crash in VirtualBox, as I did not managed to get them working anywhere else, I need to test those builds on real P3 Hardware (I'll do that this weekend :P) So far those builds seem to work ok. As you may expect, the majority of them do have their timebomb removed, the number of times I managed to install them with 2015/24/06...

You also get Errors about Device Drivers having problems installing, but just ignore them
If the driver errors from before like in the above screens prevents startup, ill see if I can find a fix, EDIT: I cant really make/find a fix

According to some old newsgroup posts from that time that are now available on Google Groups, it may have ACPI issues.

Out of all these builds, I can safely say that 1994, probably 2151, 9x 2136 & 9x 2404 have their timebomb enabled.

This is exactly what I thought. I'm in the process of restoring the timebomb for the other ones.

Again, I had no issues on VirtualBox, this build even passed all my tests and has been moved out of the ftp help folder. VirtualPC is good for 9x betas but not necessary for NT betas. If the video driver is one of the problem with VirtualBox, as you can see on some of my screenshots I got a full true color enabled + I can go to pretty high resolutions.

Anything checked :P
Regarding booting these builds from CD, if i386\system32 folder is missing you need to copy ntdll.dll from i386 to i386\system32 and usetup.exe from i386 to i386\system32\smss.exe ...

Wow, I didn't expected this to work, but thanks :). However there is a problem, the cd already contained the system folder but as I explained earlier in a thread, there were two types of build medias, ones with tools specially for Microsoft own testing, and other ones distributed to partners without any tools. It is important to note that the type of Media that MS used for their own internal testing are meant to be upgraded from an earlier build and not booted from the cd. This could explain perhaps why the build originally doesn't boot up via cd and contains the idw tools. However I don't know if we should preserve the original CD structure or preserve the original cd structure with a readme or a patch to make it able to boot from the cd.

Release 14
Chicago/95
58s - filename says it's bootable, but it's an unofficial boot loader.
73g - bunch of files, we have iso.
122 - identical as SDK version already on FTP.
189 - version on FTP is [+SDK], that version hasn't got it. No timebomb, installs, has a problem with VPC's S3 (icons are in wrong places, use VGA instead).
324 (German) - identical as we already have.
Chicago_BETA_Build_347.rar - timebomb removed by KenOath according to readme.txt, skipped.
usa_347_win95.beta2_chicago.iso - in fact, it's German, differs from version on FTP: has CHOICE.COM, TRANS.BAT and TRANSFER.BAT (bats are for making 3,5" version, upload that created version?), FLASH!.TXT is renamed to FLASH.TXT, EXCHANGE.TXT is missing. I can't decide which version is better.
ger_347_win95.beta3_chicago.iso - identical as above but files are in bad timestamped RETAIL folder.
480 (German) - bigger than version on FTP, but unoriginal - readme.txt on root of iso:
Code:
This CD was originally just a load of zip files and NFO's
I've extracted and sorted all the software supplied.
Hopefully this will make it easier for any further distribution.

Also, it has installers of e.g., beta of WinZip 6. Skipped.
490 - it's alt1 with 450 KiB of nulls on the end.
950a - compressed 3 floppies in imz, the rest is missing. Full version is already on FTP.
1111 - I don't know if disk label WIN97 is correct, if it is, then it's another version of 95B, could be named Microsoft Windows 95B (4.00.1111) (OSR2) [English] (alt4). Installs and works.
BTW, Czech, French, Korean and Polish isos of 95B have bad timestamps, don't know about the rest.
Nashville - extracted files from the iso from FTP in new iso.
Memphis/98 SE
1351 - bunch of files, we have iso.
1387, 1629 - crack included.
1400, 1423, 1488, 1602 - bad timestamps of folders and/or label is a date.
1525 - identical as the one on FTP.
1650 - created in "WinISO software".
1691, 2185 - iso, we have mdf.
Millenium
2380 - has boot loader from Windows 98 SE.
2460 - iso, we have mdf.
2470, 2499 - created in "EASY CD CREATOR".
2525.6 - identical as on FTP.
Internet Explorer 6

6.0.2800.1041 - we already have it, but in wrong category (according to this Japanese site {and this in Hebrew for 6.0.2800.1041}, all of these builds are betas, the same with 6.0.2800.1067 already on FTP)

It's veeeeeery unofficial. First, you insert CD and get this screen:

But OK, let's analyze CD contents. In cmpnents\installer we have installers of MCE, WMP10 and there's TweakNT, in cmpnents\netfx there's .NET Framework 1.1. But, let's finally install MCE. Run D:\cmpnents\installer\mceinstall.exe and got that window:

And when you click Install MCE, TweakNT appears and wants to convert SKU to MCE, then reboot, boot screen changed and... I should install MCE2004, rather than Pro VLK:
Image
Okay, formatted, installed MCE2004 (because of Easy Install, WMC wasn't installed, weird), TweakNT'ed, finally, MCE2005 installs and... I got an error when running %windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe that WMC must be run on XP MCE >.< File version 5.1.2600.2160, timestamp 5th September 2004, 4:42:56

Release 14 contains some other gems from Windows Server 2003. The ones I managed to verify right now are:

3790.1023 (x86 Service Pack)
3790.1137 (x86 and x64 Standard Server with symbols), which has a bug with the x64 branding:

Image

3790.1159 (x86 and x64 Standard Server), with the same bug as 1137. However, it now identifies itself as 'x64'.

Here is something interesting some of you crackerjacks here could solve for us. Marcoguy sent up a "beta" of Windows ME. The odd thing is that the beta identifies itself as 4.90.3000, i.e RTM. But the disc itself is clearly marked as

Same thing as the Windows 98 Technical Beta, scans of which are in the screenshot gallery, and the discs of which were sold on eBay not long ago.

Most likely sent to key partners for final tests (and as a complimentary copy, as it says) before actual RTM release. Should be included on the FTP anyways, IMHO, as it is rather rare disc it seems.

Yes, but what's the difference between this and final RTM then?

The disc says "June 19, 2000" which is already after RTM build 3000 was compiled, so it's probably the exact same build, just on a special disc. I'm downloading it now to check date stamps.

OK... so how do you suggest we release it? In the abandonware section but labeled Special Edition? or what?

Here is something interesting some of you crackerjacks here could solve for us. Marcoguy sent up a "beta" of Windows ME. The odd thing is that the beta identifies itself as 4.90.3000, i.e RTM. But the disc itself is clearly marked as

June 19, 2000
Technical Beta Special Release
Complimentary Copy

..
So what do you think this could be?

FC /B comparison says the entire contents of the \win9x folder are binary identical to the ones on my ME RTM RETAIL CD. Also this disc and mine report the exact same size count down to the byte. It appears to be exactly the same as a RTM RETAIL disc.

Well it's RTM build, so I'd put it in Abandonware, but label it as a Technical Beta Special Edition.
