Yup, the first build of Windows Live Messenger 8.5 leaked today. I haven't installed it yet, but its new UI certainly looks nice. It fits in a lot better with Vista than version 8:

Sorry about not using the betaarchive image uploader, these pics aren't mine so..

here some download links:

Official installer (digitally signed by MS) without the messengeradictos.com ads: http://random.menthix.net/ES_Install_WL ... er_8_5.exe

After installing, download http://random.menthix.net/msgslang.8.5.1235.0517.dll and place (overwrite) it in C:Program FilesWindows LiveMessenger to make it in English

If you are a Messenger Plus! user, download http://random.menthix.net/msimg32.dll and place it in C:Program FilesWindows LiveMessenger too. Messenger Plus! will then load, but not all features will work correctly, some. like chat logging, will not work at all.

A bunch of more screenshots can be found here: http://random.menthix.net/Windows_Live_ ... reenshots/

Hmmm... it says WLM 8.1 for me but in line below it says that it's version 8.5 and build is exactly the same as on tristan's screenshots, look:

BTW. Using XP MCE 05 with SP2 with polish MUI.

Because you are using the old msglang from 8.1 for 8.5, you will see that the text also is 8.1, except for underneath that because it reads that from the msnmsgr.exe, but it you but the original spanish msglang back it will be 8.5 instead of 8.1

It looks pretty cool, the UI fits more closely to Vista.
