Ugh, why do people put topics everywhere? It's a new beta, it should be either news or New Betas/RTM...DeFacto wrote:too slow, I've found this about 15 min before you...

No, he can delete your topic because he posted in the right location. No need to duplicate topics.
On-topic: Nice, I'm gonna try it.

Not only that I found it first, I posted it first, so he made a duplicate. and removing mine would be abuse of his powers as a mod. He would delete mine because I misplaced it and keep his, even though he made a duplicate. But that's not how a mod looks like. No offense, but a search on the board wouldn't hurt, right?

Your topic isn't titled IE9 RC Escrow leak, or even gives any indication to that. I'm not about to look through every IE9 topic in case someone has posted something. Simple fact is if it's in the wrong section, someone will sooner or later post another topic in the correct section.DeFacto wrote:Offtopic CommentNot only that I found it first, I posted it first, so he made a duplicate. and removing mine would be abuse of his powers as a mod. We have different sections for a reason, to aid organisation. The idea that everyone can just use search is wrong. I'm not about to delete your topic, because it contained further discussion and predates this topic on the basis of it was about more than just this leak. Though that said, the topic itself was originally a duplicate of a correctly placed topic about the 8027 leak.
All in all, posting in the right section helps.

that's one thing. the other is that they're forbidden to leak. for example you work for MS and you leak the IE9 RC build and they find out and kick you out, you lose your job...Derf wrote:If only people weren't selfish. *sigh*

What's the hurry anyway, Flash x64 is still buggy and a browser won't use 4GB of RAM will it?

Re: Internet Explorer 9.0.8073.6003 (Win7 x86) Leak
The problem is the people who are using x64 OS need the x64 installer of IE, the OS won't allow x86 installer run. The x64 browser maybe doesn't really matter, but x64 OS supports larger RAM is the key.Spider-Vice wrote:What's the hurry anyway, Flash x64 is still buggy and a browser won't use 4GB of RAM will it?

AFAIK only screenshots leaked, not the actual installer file...kpo6969 wrote:9.0.8073.6010 is around, but nowhere to be found.

yes, only screens. No build itself was leaked to public.
