Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

I'm wondering if anyone has these early versions of OS X Server (1.0, 1.1 1.2) they'd be willing to share. It shouldn't be classified as abandonware as 1.0 was released about the same time as Mac OS 8.6 was and that's on the FTP.

Though Apple says it's unsupported, I was intending to try it on a Rev A iMac as people have seemed to get it going on it

MS-DOS 3.30a & Windows/386!
I used to run 1.0 on a 333Mhz iMac... I recall something like 1200 USD for the mac & 599 USD for OSX... good times...

it's ok with 192Mb of ram and a 6gig disk...

OS X 1.0 is so picky though you can't have too much ram, nor too big of a disk...

Well,
i've got Mac OS X Server 1.2 and I think even 1.0.
The 1.2 version runs even on a PowerMac G4.It's simply a stable version of PowerPC Rhapsody with some Server functionality.

If you're interested just tell me,and I'll upload it on mediafire or something else.I haven't got an Advanced Membership ,yet.

So,here it is!
It should be quiet fast, because it's uploaded on my Dropbox.

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/7934/Mac%20O ... r%2012.rar

I'll make tomorrow (i'm quiet tired and too lazy today) a separate [OFFER] topic including both Mac OS X 1.0 and 1.2 with all necessery information.

EDIT:I'll also upload it on BA FTP asap ,but anyway, this link shouldn't expire, because it's Dropbox and Dropbox is great!

Greets,

Adam

I got all the OSX Server releases, but the reason I have not put them on BA is because they are neither abandonware or betas.

Damn, any idea of when it'll go abandonware, or will it just be like Mac OS 7.6 and above where support has been dropped but Apple doesn't classify it as abandonware?

Edit: Wait, just reading the Announcements in this forum in March of this year it should become abadonware (assuming we are going by the 10 year rule)
