Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

Hey all.

I PM'd Adam about this around a week ago, conveniently around the time that v2 was going online, and he hasn't responded yet (I wonder why), so I am going to go ahead with the offer anyway. I have no idea if this is available on the servers or not.

Around the time that ANON leaked Half Life II while it was in development, another leak went out that contained a beta steam directory FULL of Half-Life related mods. I know there was around eight or ten mods on it... but the key attraction was an incomplete build of Counterstrike: Condition Zero. I don't remember much from it... but I do remember that it was a bit before they separated the single player and multi-player aspects of the game (when the game retailed, it was separated into two parts: Condition Zero [the MP] and Condition Zero: Deleted Scenes [the SP]). I haven't looked at it much since I received it, namely because when it hit the web, so didn't the HL2 leak... but I believe that this was where the HL2 leak fixes came from (this leak) and, if I recall correctly (maybe not), there may be one or two source mods also in this.

But the big thing is the Condition Zero leak.

Is there any interest?

They all blow
-- Never mind --

Read the whole thing wrong as a request.

I still should have it here if anyone is interested, trying to recover very old CDs at the moment.

Alright. So I'm looking at the directory for the first time pretty much since I made the CDs. The leak itself was of a directory on Gabe Newell's computer... it had a few never-released things in it. Here's the contents of the archive:

3wave: 3-Wave Capture the Flag which, um... I don't ever remember seeing get released. Does anybody have any info on this? I can't find a damn thing online.
cstrike: Counterstrike 1.5
cstrike_trs: A non-working build of Counterstrike. I know nothing about this, and can't find any info online. All I could find was one forum where people were complaining that this wasn't working.
czero: An incomplete build of Condition Zero.
dmc: Deathmatch Classic
dod: Day of Defeat version 1.0
dod_11: Day of Defeat version 1.1 - in-progress as I understand
gearbox: Opposing Force 1.0.0.1
mediabrowser: A media browser
platform: A very, very old version of Steam
ricochet: Ricochet
tfc: Team Fortress Classic
valve: the original Half Life

It exists as 134 15MB RAR files. I was thinking I would RAR them up into larger split portions, that way the original archive is held intact as it was leaked in 2003... but I'm not sure about how to host these. I was planning on megauploading them, but if somebody would like to give me upload access to an ftp server I'd be happy to do that too.

You guys will be downloading this, so let me know what you want me to do.

[edit] Just saw on another forum post from 2003 that this was the build put together by Ritual that was rejected and dropped by Valve. The project was taken up later on by Turtle Rock Studios, and when the game officially released it contained Deleted Scenes, which was on the most part the single-player portion of this game. Details here

Its a good idea to keep the original archives intact, but as for FTP access, you'll have to take that one up with an admin.

Sorry to bump this, but what was the final verdict on the Upload of this Leak. Was it uploaded to the FTP? Or can it be accesses somewhere else.

I have been looking forever for this and the only one i could find was the REPACK version, which only contained the Condition-Zero Portion and the early steam part of the archive.
