Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

You actually want Your windows shell to look like a bad OSX/iTunes clone? xD

I'll keep my eye out for it, though obviously it helps if you can verify that the information you have received is true first

Suppose its all down to the user, I just personally hate apple's brushed metal look, I really can't see what is so stylish about it when Aero looks so good

the only thing i would ever use is the multiple desktop feature (love it in linux). windows 7 should do that natively... would be really cool if they actually ever did.

They were probably making it up. Remember the first "leak" of Windows 7? It turned out a group of guys photoshopped screenshots. I really doubt it leaked.

actually what your referring to when you say "the first leak" is a windows vista sp1 customized dvd that looks like 7. which i made. i spent a lot of time making that os look like windows 7 just so people who didn't want to download an unstable M1 beta or who just liked the way it looked could use my custom dvd. and if you would actually do some more rersearch on it you would find out that, a: it wasn't photoshopped pictures. b: it wasnt made to fool people. c: it wasnt the "first" so called leak, the "Windows 7 M1 Repack" was the so called "first". and d: it wasnt a group of people working on it, it was just me. So before you go out and spread some rumors, try and learn the facts first. well at least enough to back you up ;)

How is that possible, the only screenshots that where available at that time showed a UI very similar to that in Vista, the new stuff in the UI was only revealed at HEC, long after the first build leaked

They look nice, but I think you should remove them or at least not make new ones.
People come here and other places and offer them as Windows 7.
It is really getting annoying.

Or just say in on the desktop in the desktop string that it's a fake.

Could you maybe sum it up with a couple of screenshots?

A feature that has been much requested since the xp power tool has never worked in Vista. Sure, having a multiple monitor setup would be nice, but its not practical for everyone, so a multi-desktop enviroment is almost an essential feature and the only real reason I can think why MS never made it so is that they just can't be arsed.

Yes there are, most of which are poorly coded crap or cost some retarded ammount of money. There is no reason for MS not to intergrate this as a basic feature as has been the case with Linux for quite some time.

Actually I was talking about the one thread at Neowin where a bunch of guys photoshopped a bunch of Windows 7 Screenshots and everyone believed. This was actually January 26, 2008 that this happened-- I remember the date because I actually wrote an article about it on my blog.
