Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

Admin Edit: Split from "Several Longhorn Vista Builds" topic by request.

That's a pity (because I know there's Hydra Beta 2 waiting).

The T_D server doesn't seem to work for me either - I just get "connection attempt failed..." - I've got a Hydra build that I downloaded ages ago - think it's beta 1 though

I couldn't imagine what someone would get out of faking a beta
of Hydra when both of the originals are on the scene...

I haven't tried collecting the Vistas as well, as I can't be bothered to get that many recordable DVDs (DVDs always seem really expensive too, compared to CD-Rs, at least in the shops round here)

hmm...strange
The price of DVD discs here are almost cheap as CDRs. DVD DLs are still expensive (at least 4~5 times of the price of an ordinary DVD/CDR disc)though. Only when I need to burn ISOs over 4GB I'll buy DLs.

If you don't mind the postage I could mail you some :D

Yes, I know Hydra beta 1 and 2 have been released by you, but I failed to get them in the OSBA days. That's why I asked if someone here had them and this person kindly uploaded beta 1 and 2 to the T_D ftp, which has been inaccessible for some time now. That's why I said the server's inaccessibility is a pity for me.

I might be able to put Hydra beta 1 on Andy's server if you're interested in that one - would just the i386 folder be OK as it's only around 80 MB, while the whole CD is over 400 MB, and there don't even seem to be the other architectures on there to take out. The DRVLIB folder is nearly 100 MB, but I presume this is like other NT versions where only the i386 folder is needed to install it?

I'm not sure on that one, but I think the i386 folder would be okay. But it's Hydra Beta 2 (Build 373) that I'm after, not Beta 1 (Build 307). I already have Beta 1... :)

@Beta Freak or Andy

could you move all hydra discussions into a new thread, please?

@KenOath

This was right after retail came out, I didn't have any builds, and everyone was selling copies of them for $10 (hehehe)

Thanks for this one, but... could you rename the file so its name is more descriptive (so that Andy knows where to put it).
