OSBA Custom (OS) Projects?

Post by empireum »

Hello,

I remember there have been some custom OS projects and modifications going on on OSBA. Has somebody downloaded at least one or more of them and would mind sharing it/them? Or are these projects lost?

Thanks

Thanks, but IIRC, this is already on the AbyssUnderground server. It's a ~270MB ISO, right?

I remember reading about a Neptune Revival project that looked interesting, though sadly it got shut down.

If anyone ever found a way of integrating working graphics drivers in to Neptune I'd be interested to hear about it, I'd like to build an Windows mashup based on Neptune but of course with no useful graphics drivers it wouldn't really work...

I have Windows AlphaBetas:
405=July 4, 2005 (Alpha-1; The Independence Version)
805=August 2005 (Alpha-1 remake; Never released)
905=September 2005 (Alpha-2; The Nostalgic Version)
1606=June 2006 (Alpha-3; The Retail Genocide Version)*

*Alpha-3 was never given out to the public. Development has ceased as I attempted to push the OS into the Whistler stage. However, I decided to continue working on my custom operating system.

troyodOS Build List
Alpha-1 Stage
03=May 2003 (Alpha-1)
x03=December 2003 (Alpha-1a)
a04=April 2004 (Alpha-1b)
x04=September 2004 (Alpha-1c)
z04=December 2004 (Alpha-1ca)

Alpha-2 Stage
05=February 2005 (Alpha-2)
x05=June 2005 (Alpha-2a)
y05=November 2005 (Alpha-2ab)
z05=December 2005 (Alpha-2ac)
j06=January 2006 (Alpha-2b)

Alpha-3 Stage
06=February 2006 (Alpha-3)
a06=March 2006 (Alpha-3a)
b06=April 2006 (Alpha-3b)
c06=June 2006 (Alpha-3c)
d06=November 2006 (Alpha-3d)

troyodOS releases will NOT be given away at the time. It's being worked on unlike Windows AlphaBetas. This post is simply a "What's been going on with Troy" post.
Since January 2005, I've been in the Operating Systems Prototype Community. I've enjoyed learning more these past four years about the development of the Windows and Macintosh operating systems, as well as learning of new user-based projects that optimize system performance.

I use A.B. as a host OS on many PCs. I was really interested in Retail Genocide.

If someone could upload one or more builds of AlphaBetas, that would be really great...

I think there's already a "build 950" on the server... If this is 905, then I guess not...
