This one seems very elusive, I once found a copy of it (I think it was the Portuguese version, I think there is an English one but it's even rarer) online but it was corrupt

Starter Edition is extremely limited in what it can do. KO tried to fix it. I think he had limited sucess with it. If it can be fixed he can do it.

Its just like the Vista Starter (included in Vista DVD) that one is also limited, but worked fine in Vmware.
So i would like an original starter version, just to try it and add it to my collection.

NVM, He's still on that "KenOath supply's fake screens" trip it seems...
Windows XP Starter Edition Geographic and Language Availability

Windows XP Starter Edition is shipped on low-cost PCs sold by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributed in more than 88 countries around the world, and localized in 24 languages. Two multilingual versions of Windows XP Starter Edition were released earlier this year. These multilingual editions will enable people in India and Malaysia to operate PCs in their native languages or English.

I was not the one about the fake screens.
Every screenshot of you IS (what i believe) REAL.
And you are the greatest collector/cracker ever.

I just want to try the starter edition, to see how it looks and how it works.

It wasn't directed at you, but the other goober claiming it doesn't exist,
Who says he forgot about the screens, yet he has them hosted on his
own screenshots websight...

I thought it was just an xp home build made even more limited than the
home version, like limited amount of ram can be used, limited hard drive
size[not 100% sure on this], limited amount of running apps, and maybe
even limited to the cpu's max limit, as it was made for those in the poorer
countries that are on a limited budget, with very limited system capabilities.

I'm not sure if it's restricted, but I do know Windows XP Starter Edition is a scaled down version of Windows XP for extremly poor, and undeveloped countries with many people who have very little money. It even has wallpaper with pictures from these developing countries, one for each translation.

And as Andy said, it's Warez, since it's against the EULA, and is strictly illegal.

It's restricted.... can't run more than 3 programs at once

So is WinFLP...

Maybe because the winflp was given to msdn subscribers, he considers it OK, especially
considering that half of everyone I know of, have this themselves.
On the otherhand isn't starter edition an oem version of xp, and released only in the countries each edition is made for.

The definitions of warez here need to be redifined.

and those three programs will be taken up with spyware.

Also it is up to the server hosts what is on the FTP, you just can't request stuff like this. As nearly all of the stuff on the FTP's are illegal in one way or another
