Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

What do you mean is it complete? It's ripped entirely from my disc. It should be bootable.

No this one's not bootable, no ME betas were, not even the full version
of build 3000 from MS was bootable...

Nice! I got this release already, so a nice highres scan of the CD would be nice :)

Mine doesn't have any bootdisc either, perhaps you should make a real CD image and see if it contains a bootsector or bootfloppy.

I still have the image for this, with the timebomb removed...
I ripped this when I 1st got it & made an ISO of it without the
timebomb....

Here's the bootdisks Iv'e made, plus the CD bootdisk...

It's a shame you didn't talk to Andy about this 1st, it could've been
one for the release a fortnight scheme...
Actually, I have (somewhere) a copy of Windows ME, which is an OEM version, that's bootable.

It gives you 2 choices:

2) Harddrive

Probably because it's the one I made myself, using the MSDN
version, then making my own boot image, the used the jo.sys, then
shared it on the forum here not long after I joined, MS never
used the jo.sys on anything but 98's cd-boot image...
Does it have a label that reads something like "WINME_MSDN_EN"
or something similar...

Yeah so do I, the magic word here is OEM
Here's the full retail release of it, not upgrade or OEM, Full Retail Release...

Whats the difference between the bootdisks and cd bootdisk, didnt all
ME versions give the option to boot with cd rom support.

Yeah I didn't word that real good now did I..
The "Bootdisks" are the ones made when installing this beta,
the "CD bootdisk" is actually a 1.40 mb IMA used for making the
CD itself bootable, did you D/L it, you should have worked that
out when seeing the boot.cat file in the CD boot folder...

No the label is WINME.
And its an Original Hologram CD from Microsoft.

The pic I showed above is a Genuine Holographic Full version CD...
& your label of WINME, I've yet to see MS use a label that short,
seems a little odd...

My genuine 98 SE OEM disc is just "Win98 SE" and 98FE "Windows 98" - it seems as though they just used the short name of the OS for the 9x versions rather than the longer labels like they do nowadays.
