[REQ] Windows NT 4.0 Embedded / Windows CE

Post by missingno »

I've been looking all over for a copy of Windows NT 4.0 Embedded - not a device image, but the Platform Builder and all that jazz.

And I've been looking for old versions of Windows CE - 2.XX and 3.XX versions.

Can anyone help me out?

They seem to be broken,
I have downloaded the files twice, but when I try to extract, I get a error message

I'll download and check, too. If it's good, I'll re-package it into one file and up to the FTP.

Thanks!

Oh, and the VHD of CE 3 may be interesting to play with.

Edit: I've opened the first part and it shows the CE ISO within. But of course I can't grab the rest due to the $@%$!$(@_%@ RapidShare limits. 100 minute or so wait inbetween downloads >_>

If you can get a new IP address from your ISP (e.g. by reconnecting) you can circumvent this. Not elegant, but working.

I have downloaded the ISO agin and it is NOT Windows CE4.

here is a screen of the content:

Image

The ISO contains Compaq Rapport. Thats from the ReadMe file on the disc:
Abstract: Rapport™ Administrative Software for Compaq Thin Clients is a powerful yet
easy to use tool that enables administrators to deploy, manage, and update thin client
devices with a minimal amount of time and effort. Rapport allows administrators to
centrally manage a complete Compaq Thin Client network from one management server
using the familiar Microsoft Windows Explorer interface.
This paper provides a description of Rapport and its benefits.

I just wanted to report the same, Daniel beat me to it. This would have been suspicious anyway – Windows CE plus the tools and the repositories would never fit on a single CD, it would require multiple CDs.

>_> I've been waiting for over a [censored] hour on Rapidshare for this?

And I'm stuck with a cable modem that assigns the same IP.
