Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

Released a new version of ESD Toolkit

This new version comes with a lot of improvements and new features since the last preview build which was erm... (wrong script) some fairly nice improvements:

  • Usability improvements
  • Some bug fixes
  • Removed the workaround for the logging bug as MS released a hotfix for that.

This a somewhat huge milestone :

Released ESD-Toolkit 3.0.0.0 stable

  • Added MULTI ESDs support

Tip: you can combine Multi ESDs with normal/multi ESDs too. Try to combine two multi ESDs together :)

Also removed the need for rename isos to run after the conversion, meaning that not only it's faster and you don't need to have mount-image working. There is still some bugs here and there but nothing too critical

Download: https://github.com/gus33000/ESD-Decrypt ... /tag/3.0.0

Edit:

Released ESD-Toolkit 3.0.0.1 stable

  • Fixed Volume label missing the architecture

https://github.com/gus33000/ESD-Decrypt ... ag/3.0.0.1

Started to work on some more user friendly stuff, like a gui for example. It's coming along nicely. Still WIP:

Very nice! I hope you keep the command line version though for us console junkies.

I will keep the console version too. Since I do not plan on adding command line support and ESD Combining for the gui.

Day 2:

Wizard completely implemented (at least for the decrypt esd part),
New background style inspired from Windows 8 Developer preview builds

*snip*

This looks much better than the first background style (although I am biased and always prefer gradients). I also like the text, which has a lighter, not-too-serious tone. Was it by any chance also 'inspired from Windows 8 Developer preview builds'?

Yes it was.

Meanwhile I finished squashing a few bugs here and here, and started to work on the success page. What still needs to be done right now, is a better error handling if one operation fails, finish the recap page, finish the end page, and start to work on the download an esd file option.

The whole converting process fully works right now.

This is the end page right now:

Edit: Here is a screenshot of the slightly improved Convert page:

Edit 2: Updated some icons:

Thanks.

Released the first preview of it:

Not everything is in this release, I plan on adding more to it later.

Sorry for the lack of status updates, but I released a new beta for the gui here:
https://github.com/gus33000/ESD-Decrypt ... .0.0-beta1

/!\ I only tested this on Windows 10 it may break on Windows 8, and will for sure on Windows 7

You can see some screenshots of the ui below (some where taken when the release was not finalized):

This may be a little bit of a necro (sorry for this) but it seems gus33000 had updated both his ESD Decrypter and his RenameISOs tool in August which isn't here in this thread.
Here's the github page where you can download this build: https://github.com/gus33000/ESD-Decrypter/releases/tag/4.0.0.0.fbl_prerelease(gustavem).160815-0800
