There is no trial for leopard, youre on your own on this. If you have a real mac, it's a piece of cake, partition your hard drive and install.
If your not on a mac, patch it, then partition your hard drive and install.

RTM's are not on the server, nor will ever be there. The dmg is large, you need a dual layer dvd. Have fun!

You can strip out unnecessary components from the original DMG eg foreign languages, printer drivers and squeeze it onto a single-layer if you don't have any dual-layer discs though. As for the download, I spent about a month downloading around 70 RapidShare links to get this, so it can be done :P I won't post them as it's probably warez, though then again people have posted things like Windows Home Server that are very much warez and it has been said to be fine, so I've never quite understood the rule on this - if someone says it's OK to post the link then I will if anyone wants RapidShare links.

Not quite, unless your Mac is practically brand new :( They've compiled it for AltiVec only, so it only runs on G4s, and they've stripped out all the drivers for older Macs so it doesn't boot on G4-upgraded G3s or the first-gen G4 towers. I've got a G3 tower with a 500 MHz G4 upgrade CPU and am looking for a way to get this installed, until then I'm stuck with good old Tiger...

I find a torrent eailer to use and less hassle since I don't have a RS account.

I assumed that if someone is going to install leopard, they'll install it on a G4.

True, just I was a bit worried Apple spies might be watching, I saw some things saying something along the lines of "anything but torrent is safe, they might be watching!", although it's probably just FUD. RS is pretty annoying for large files like that as they only let you download 100 MB about every three hours!

Not everyone has a G4 though - G3s seem to be the ones you can quite easily pick up as freebies these days, G4s are usually still pretty expensive. You also have to hack the Installer if your G4 has a clock speed of less than 867 MHz, although that's fairly easy to do - I really hate the way Apple try to kill off their older machines that can easily cope with the new OS but Apple want you to junk it for a new machine that you don't really need :(

Windows Home Server can be posted because it provides a 30 day trial without a key. So long as no key is provided is it fine to upload. The same goes for any software that offers a trial with no key.

Would there be a way to add the drivers for G3 systems from a Tiger install disk or something?

Possibly, I'm not sure - I did think this might work for G4-upgraded G3s, though I'm not really sure which file(s) is the driver that it looks for when it first boots :S

I think it's still warez though :P The torrent file should be easy enough for anyone that wants it to find by searching one of the popular torrent sites though.
