Post subject:  [req] Windows Centro 5112 Beta 1

Hello,

Can you upload Windows Centro to any ftp server?

I got some testing machines, and I would like to try it.

Thank you :)

I'm sure I remember seeing it on one of the servers, have you checked through them all? Though it may have only been on that recent temporary server though, I can't remember which others, if any, it was on. Have you applied for the Connect programme for it, invite code Extr-GHBC-JCJM used to get you in but I don't know if they're still open to new participants. Otherwise it's unlikely anyone will be able to supply it for you, as it's 10 GB in total :( Note too that there are two released builds of this - Beta 1, and the post-Beta 1 CTP.

What is Centro?

Basically it's SBS's bigger brother, a Server 2008-based package of server products designed for mid-sized businesses. It consists of three separate servers (Management, Edge and Messaging), all x64 only, that work together. That's why it's 10 GB as there's three separate DVDs, and if you signed up to the beta using the invite code that I posted then MS mailed you official DVDs of Beta 1 and the post-Beta 1 CTP to save you downloading 10 GB each time. When you install it it installs Server 2008 beta first, and then boots into a Centro setup wizard where you set everything else up, and the second and third servers talk to the existing ones while doing that.
