Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.

Hello,
I've been looking through the forums and was just wondering.
What is the latest leaked build of Longhorn?
Well, what is the best, latest build of longhorn.
Many thanks,

Jonty.

PS. Is longhorn supposed to show as Win XP Pro in dxdiag?

ok, what exactly are you looking for?
mostly everyone asking for longhorn means the 3xxx and 4xxx builds, which is 3 to 5 years old. Not quite sure if you're asking for that since you used the word "latest." Or you just meant something else like longhorn server.

Anyways, most Longhorn (3xxx and 4xxx) builds are very unstable, well i suppose that you problary want 4074, if you want to try longhorn.

It does in most builds, but generally not the later builds, so depends on what build you are using.

He wants to know, which version is the latest not called vista. I Think 5112 shows Longhorn everywhere except over the clock.

i was meaning builds on the old kernel. I only like canceled Longhorn... and i agree 5048 is worst build ever. However it has nice dwm theme.

Skinning XP won't give you DWM, only an approximate look. 5048 does lack in features, and marked the developer reset, but it had the most stable DWM of all other previous builds. Even slapping WindowBlinds isn't going to give you DWM, because transparency does not mean translucency.
