NT5 builds request

Post by tpemail »

well..Grabberslasher's FTP used to have many. Though his FTP had shut down, I failed to grab some of the late NT5s.
As Win2000 is my favorite OS (for daily use), I'm mostly interested in NT5 series too.
Anyone have all NT5 from his FTP? (Especially wants builds after 1906)
Thanks

I've got to look for them, but I'm sure I have a few of the earlier builds. I probably also have a few early whistler builds. I'll post the results..

Anyway, I might contact Andy and upload some betas I got before Grabber's FTP shut down..(Of course, they would be the ones that are not yet on Andy's FTP)

I'd appreciate that as I am looking for NT 5.0 (preferably Workstation) builds before 1946...as these are still called NT 5.0, builds ≥1946 are called Windows 2000. I'd love to get the build 1877 (Beta 2) and/or 1906.

Thanks

I've got NT5 1631 Server, but the CD is at home so I've only got the Virtual PC image with me at the moment.

Alrighty...I've just finished uploading 1671, 1877 and 1906 onto Andy's FTP. Let's just wait for him to move them to the download section

Sure I'd be glad to have it
P.S: My PM system seems to have problem...looks like that it saved the messege in my box rather than send it out.
Anyway, sorry to you if you received 2 or more same messages from me. I'm not sure if my message was really sent.

Edit:The problem seems to happen again. I've finished the beta menu. Please contact me to get it

That's no problem. Right now, I've got three edit 1: four new messages from you in my inbox

edit 2: W2K Server build 2000 and 2031 (both US) are uploaded. 2000 doesn't need a key, if 2031 does need one, I'll try to find one.

Build 1773 was never leaked?

There is apparently also a build 1796.
http://air101.betablogs.net/2000.php?gallery=1796
I suppose this is quite rare as well?

@KenOath
Do you know if there are/were any NT5 builds between 1906 and 1946? I ask because AFAIK, 1906 was the last one that was called NT5, and 1946 was the first one called W2K...

TBH - I've not really dug too deep into the NT5 beta's ,they were
never really my scene.
Chicago & Memphis betas are what I dig , I have a lot of build versions
as being validated from reading all MS literature from within the CDs
themselves on these builds..

Regards to that 1796 build , I've noticed that air101 now has his own
forum.
The only registered members are Gillian & One of the twelve , chances
are the screenshots of that 1796 build are from 1 of the 12, he's often
talked of unreleased builds in the past...
1 of the 12 has been beta collecting longer than me so I figure he may
know of any builds between 1906 & 1946 if any...
If you look at the file properties in 1946, a lot are found to be 1932 ,
1938/9 & 1945, may mean something...

Thanks, 1 of the 12 has already registered here, but not posted yet.
It's just that NT builds are (one of) my favourites, I've always liked the NT-based MS OSes...
