Thanks

If it's still needed, drop me a PM or post back here and I'll upload it once I have access.

Edit: I only just realised that this post is relatively young. Thought we were past the 22nd a while ago.

Ive dug out my Flight Sim 98 Disk. Im just copying and compressing the files from the disk. Ill start the upload soon but it will take a while, as I need to limit the upload to 10KB/s to keep the site online.

I think I have Flight Simulator 2.0, but I'll have to look for it. Are you interested in such an old version?

Out of curiosity, how big were those older versions of FS (once installed; not the compressed files on the FTP)? I recently bought FS X Deluxe and once installed it took up about 13.5GB (package says 15GB) :o

I had FS98. For like a day, since when I noticed 2000 was on the shelves I promptly returned it for that

 I bought 98 back when it was new - I got my first PC in early 1998 and FS98, Quake 2 (the Quad Damage box set with the original game and all the expansion packs in one box) and Need For Speed III Hot Pursuit were some of the first games I bought for it! It was good back then, but the graphics look pretty outdated now - amazing how much the FS series has progressed in 9 years! I still have it though, boxed and everything. I did think about getting X, which looks awesome from the screenshots I've seen, but then I read a review saying that if you want the graphics to be like that you basically have to have a supercomputer, so decided it wasn't worth the expense at the moment.

As for the question of its size, I think it only takes up a few hundred megabytes - install size depends whether you choose to install all the textures or read them off the CD. It does come on just one CD though (there is another CD in the box but it's not part of the main program).
