Quote:
The open beta to Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is now live. Red Alert 3 is the next highly anticipated installment in the popular real-time strategy franchise and forces players to take control of the Allies, Soviets, or the new Empire of the Rising Sun. In addition, players will have control over all units including bears, dolphins, kirovs, mirage tanks, and transforming machines.

Even though there have been many Command & Conquer games over the years, the last Red Alert came out nearly eight years ago in 2000, but if you're a Red Alert fan you won't have to wait much as the next installment of Red Alert will ship this October.

An EA rep contacted us earlier this morning, informing us that the BETA is now 500,000 users strong.

To be queued up for a test drive of the game before it launches, purchase a copy of expansion pack Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath. Included in Kane's Wrath is a beta key for Red Alert 3, which you can register here.

I cant wait. The Land of The Rising Sun faction looks awesome. RA2 was the last best C&C game, Generals was pretty crap and CNC 3 was mediocre, but RA3 actualy looks like they put the fun back into the series.

It's been leaked but you need a beta serial to play, and its basically one serial per IP.

So even if I somehow got this leaked beta there no way I could play a LAN game? Online play only on EA’s servers?

it only allows you to play online, no network play. unless there is some kind of hack

Theres supposedly a LAN hack but it's disabled when you update.

Dont think you can update without a valid beta key anyway. The beta keys are different to the install serial. If lan is possible, then it should work over Himachi meaning you could host your own multiplayer maps over the net. I've upped it to the servers here, so once someone moves it over to the download server it will save people spending several hours screwing around with rapidcrap, not that its actualy usable mind you. If anyone needs some install serials, PM me (unless its ok to post them in the forum?).

There is a torrent, FTP mirror and some other information about the Beta here: http://digiex.net/games-downloads/249-r ... ation.html

However its still not possible to play it without a valid cd key at the moment.

It's true, it's only an MP beta which requires a valid beta key. However for anyone that is interested in dissecting it you can find it on my FTP.

Remember tho that computer AI doesn't exist in this beta. However some may want to pick it apart for other reasons :P.
