Today I got some new CDs from the recycling yard and noticed that there were several builds of MDK (4 aren't on the FTP):
Code:
MDK 15% finished Demo - Aug 06 1996          - Non-Interactive Demo CD   - 33.0 MB - Missing on FTP
MDK Development Build - Jan 14 1997 10:23:54 - Beta Demo                 - 42.0 MB - FTP
MDK Development Build - Jan 31 1997 12:36:41 - Internet Demo             - 14.7 MB - FTP
MDK Development Build - Feb 04 1997 13:48:14 - PC Games Exklusiv-Demo    - 20.4 MB - Missing on FTP
MDK Development Build - Feb 12 1997 11:19:21 - Internet Demo             - 14.3 MB - FTP
MDK Development Build - Feb 12 1997 11:25:14 - Demo (PC Gamer Po Polsku) - 20,7 MB - Missing on FTP
MDK Development Build - Feb 12 1997 11:25:14 - Internet Demo             - 14.1 MB - Missing on FTP
MDK Development Build - Mar 13 1997 18:02:58 - Internet Demo             - 14.6 MB - FTP

Download links:
Non-Interactive Demo CD
PC Games exclusive Demo
Polish PC Gamer
PC Gamer build Internet Demo

EDIT: Added the version found by lordofthedepths. Thanks a lot. (You got the date wrong. It's displayed in the options menu. You took the legal.txt date.)
EDIT2: Just found another Version of the PC Gamer Po Polsku demo. Exe is identical, but the resources are different.
EDIT3: I just noticed that I put the wrong link for the PC Games demo. :$ I fixed it now.

No other game impressed us more than MDK.

With its Dolby Silence Mono. :D

The Demo is actually missing the Freefall.key file. Also it seems like the list of used Key files does not include MDK_DEMO.KEY.

Also: The 15% demo doesn't work on my PCs. Not in DOS Box and not on Windows 98 SE. Any idea how to fix that?

EDIT:
Couldn't resist. I had to make this wallpaper:

The version from the polish magazine is english. Why don't you just download it?

The Power Play magazine (German) had an MDK Developer Diary starting with 9/96. I've only got part 3 and 4, but I'll try to get the rest as soon as possible.

The MDK Dev Diary is now complete (see above) and I found 3 mini trailers from ~August 1996:

Aphex Twin couldn't have done the audio better:

My life would seriously be complete if these were reuploaded. Could anyone do that if they still have these files? I'm especially interested in the "MDK 15% finished Demo - Aug 06 1996". I would die such a happy man.

Nevermind, found it on the FTP, but the 08-06-1996 was mislabeled as 1997. Thanks for uploading them :)

I'm new here but this is probably the only place that may help me. I'm an MDK nutcase and I've been looking forever for a demo that came with what I think was a Brazilian magazine.
But the same build may have been all over the world. I know how to identify it because it actually came with a hi-color MDK icon (*.ico) file that was AWESOME compared to the yellow, low color that comes with the retail game. I'd love you all to death if that icon or that demo can be identified or found.

Sorry and thanks

- Martin

You've come to the right place. I did some digging and found that the demo on PC Gamer #3.02 (US?) contains an icon file with these two pictures:

This demo is dated to 1997-02-12 and is likely the one also found on PC Gamer Po Polsku, listed in the first post.

Amazing! I've spent years looking for this.

Sadly it appears I need special privileges to download from here, but I really appreciate it nonetheless!
