So, mods moderate, users use, posters post, and admins... Admin? :)

Who cleans up the badly worded posts? No-one. Hence, the idea hatched in my mind about janitors. My idea for janitors is a group of sub-mods who clean up badly worded posts or posts with bad/inconsistent grammar.

Yes/no? State your opinion and reasons for it.

The really badly worded posts just get deleted don't they?

1. Well, they are supposed to be... :P

2. This would prevent the need for deletion.

But the deletion and warnings is how people learn that they need to improve the quality of their post's.

Hmm... Can't argue with that, really.

Though, the janitors could give Post Quality warnings. When the janitor edits a post, they state the reason and give a warning. Not a real Warning, just a post warning. *Taps self on back for coming up with valid argument. :D*

There's also enough Moderators to do this job anyway.

Again, a valid point... *Scratches head desperately.* Urm... Yes, mods could do this... But... Er... Damn it.

Another one of my ideas down the bog, then. :(

I can see they would be useful although it would decrease the effectiveness of the warning for posts that are of low quality type thing.

Pointless, moderators do this already

Although there should still be a moderator from another timezone besides Europe

Theres a long stretch in the evening, where, if pr0grammer_the_pr0grammer is offline, we have no mods, a fairly long stretch between America going to bed and Europe waking up.

In a way, you made it much smaller.

I don't think we need a group like this, everthing works fine as it is now.
And yes, most of the current mods here are from europe, but this works also fine at the moment, doesn't it?

I personally do not think "janitors" are needed - The plentiful moderators do a brilliant job as it is, and editing people's posts to suit the moderator's writing style strips creativity and individuality.

I think this idea is a good one, but maybe in a different way. A sort of sub-mod might be a good idea.

I don't understand the point really considering we do this anyway.
