Andy you should consider phpBB3, when It comes out. You might have a little bother with interigation with the site, but its new features are really cool.

Andy has said before that he's going to wait until phpBB3 is out of beta.. the transition won't be immediate as we'll have to somehow port the betaarchive skin to phpBB3 as well.

phpBB3 is a nice improvement though, it finally has a few nice random things that were in most other boards before. :)

I doubt Andy will want to run a illegal copy, which I am guessing it is. :P

I'm not running an illegal copy of anything. Having beta's is bad enough. We will change to phpBB3 when it is officially out of beta, unless people are willing to pay for vBulletin or some other board.

These forums better not switch to vBulletin. It's some of the worst forum software I've ever seen. PHPBB>*

It tends to render quite slowly imo.

^what he said, plus I'm on dial-up. It'll take about 4 times as long for me to load it than anyone on broadband.

Now that phpBB3 has been released, are we going to look at converting now?

Well the current theme was supposed to be ported to phpBB3 but the author hasn't done it yet.

Nice bump. and why would we use anything other than phpBB? It's by far the best supported open-source forum software. It's also powerful, and it doesn't look to bad either.
