threads still exist, forum looks like it's been moved - seriously, if you need vBulletin, I can provide a license :)

Ugh, vBulletin. And Andy's pretty determined to stay with phpBB anyway. The bugs left now are largely the bugs he couldn't work on before because it involved changing settings stored in the database, of which the test one was just disposed of, only containing the posts up to a few weeks ago.

He could have closed the forum for a few more hours while he fixed everything, but why do that when the forum is, for all intents and purposes, fully functional?

How about making "Official Private Servers List" a weblink with redirect count disabled instead of a regular forum? One less hack.

If I'm understading what you're saying, then it would be insignificant.

You already said to be phpBB3 noob, but it's a new feature, having weblinks that works like our Private Servers List. It also has a redirect count, but I don't study a point of having one (no adminism).

He may change it at some point, it's just left over in it's current state from the phpBB2 install, which was just a hack.

I haven't used phpBB since February, I deal mostly with vB and IPB now. I used to run a phpBB board, but have forgotten everything about it. :(

For some time the forum became "flat" (no forums due to permissions) for regular members.

Andy's still wrestling with permissions?

Permissions should be totally fixed now. Moderators have NO permissions yet, lol. I'm working on that. They're a bloody swine these permissions.

Lol, bare in mind that the moderators are also members of the Registered Users group though and we inherit the permissions from there. And I have access to the staff forums anyway, so there can't be no permissions right? :\

Also still have access to all the Moderator tools, so I guess it's not priority.

Great job getting the posting stuff fixed, Andy. One suggestion (for when you're not so busy...) maybe you could allow VIP's to upload files (along with their own rank)? Just a thought...

Hopefully it'll be all back to normal in a few days, I would like to express thanks to Andy for putting up with my MSN conversation (I was a bit impatiant).

In phpBB2 this was present, it is a bit annoying if you are on a long page and need to go up again.

Added :) I wanted it back too!

Liking the new look, well done Andy :)

Just a small thing I noticed

Legend :: Administrators, Advanced Members, , Staff, VIP Members

Mainly that , , bit...

Apart from that, and some of the forum titles with <b> in the description doesn't work.

The double comma is somewhat a mystery but there is a rouge "no-name" group in the config which shows up on permissions but not on the groups page. I can only assume I need to get rid of that to stop it showing up. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to safely edit the DB in phpMyAdmin so instead of fixing it I was going to leave it. Its not harming anyone, even if it does look unsightly.

If I Remember correctly, can you check the groups table? You should find it. Rename the group and it should resolve.

I can but it doesn't show up because it has a blank name... Thats the problem. I did look but didn't touch anything.

I just looked again and it definitely doesn't exist :S I don't get it. No ID shows up for it and no description or name shows up either. Perhaps its a bug in the phpBB code...
