Because Andy is currently at work me and Craig noticed and resolved the the processor problem, it was constantly at 100%.

This was caused by php.exe on the server opening itself multiple times. There is no explanaton about why this happened yet, but you can be reassured as it will be looked into closely. Each process was running at about 10-15% load. This caused many people to be denied access with timeouts ect. As craig is the only one with access to the server, he has gone at fixed it out of goodwill. Thanks to craig are in order.

BETAArchive did not go offline but was loading slowly for an approx period of 1 hour, this means any site residing on the BETAArchive server would have been effected.

Sorry for the slight delay :)

Ah, Good to hear it's been resolved. I was wondering if there was an issue with my connection =/

Sounds like there was a PHP error and it started using 100% CPU. You spotted it so quick the kill PHP cron didn't stop it itself.

Something somewhere causes these random errors and I was fixing them so often I decided to implement a kill PHP cron job for every 10 minutes, starting on the hour. This has fixed all of the problems known so far, but obviously craig logged on and killed them himself quicker than the cron took to activate.

I designed the system so it would pretty much look after itself. I haven't touched the server in about 4 days apart from moving a few files and adding some DNS records, so its doing a pretty good job so far.
