Hello all,

You may have noticed BA went offline at around 4pm GMT today. The reason was simple. The backup software decided to stop working, and I couldn't find any suitable alternatives.

Anyway to cut a long story short, I reinstalled the OS so the backup software would work again. I apologise to everyone who wanted to get onto BA during that time but it was a necessary step to ensure the integrity and security of the data held on the server.

The BETA files are not on the FTP on the BA server at the moment so can I ask everyone to use one of the SP mirror servers for the time being.

I hope everyone can be understanding.

Andy (Admin)

Its called DeltaCopy. It uses a Windows port of the Linux application rsync but made into an easy to use GUI.

It kept failing with the error: "Generic Error". Obviously that means nothing. I spent every spare hour since Saturday evening when the issue arose trying to sort it out. All in all about 10 hours in total. Nothing worked, hence the reinstall.

Unfortunately, Generic Errors aren't too explained...
Rsync port for Windows... I never found a replacement for this

OFF: At this moment, I'm getting VERY high CPU usage, up to 95% It doesn't go lower than 60%. I think FTP CRC check is running.
Also, the stats one time sent me a bogus value (-14.1%)
:?

Editing when CPU load goes more than specified above.

The FTP is running at 100Mbps, ignore it. I'm copying all of the beta's back from an SP mirror and FTP running at 100Mbps is pretty CPU intensive.

My technique is programming Tab Mix Plus to refresh cpu.php every 1 second.

Also, it does not affect my BA usage.

When I was clicking on submit... 100% BEATEN!

EDIT: I think all stuff is copied. CPU load is stable now.
