Hello all,

It has come to my attention that people are not posting in the correct forum. Please let me make it clear.

General Discussion is for beta related discussion only.

Use off topic discussions for anything not beta related.

I have moved at least 10 topics in the last week alone from general discussion to off topic discussions or news. Soon Im going to just start deleting them.

PAY ATTENTION!

Andy (Admin)

Perhaps the "General Discussion" section should be entitled
"General beta Discussion" to avoid posts in wrong section..
I've always thought of general discussion as anything in general,
not specific, & off topic as anything not operating system related..
The titles of the subsections are a bit misleading then according to
what can & can't be posted in them...

That is a good idea since General Chat sounds like just talking about stuff.

Much better.

Also, I think we really need to fix up the categories. They are seriously screwed up as it is now. We've got categories with one forum and categories with eight.

Not only that, "General Chat," a beta forum, is in the "General Chat" category with non-beta (in general) forums. It's all very strange.

It is already named this and I moved a lot of posts out of it into off topic discussions yesterday.

With regard to forums and catagories, there isn't much we can do without giving each forum its own catagory which defeats the object of catagories.

It is not already named this, it is named "General Chat". It says about general beta discussions in the description, but it should be in the title as well.

Sorry I overlooked that. I'll change it now. I expected people to read the description's too (since thats what they're for).
