Neptune Activity Center Problem
Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
In case you haven't noticed, the activity centers included with 5111.1 are quite broken.

KenOath fixed it but he said he wouldn't give fixed Activity Centers. And he has left here, nobody knows where's he or his contact information.

I'm quite sure some people are still in contact with him, don't assume no one knows where he is just because you don't.cantasan99 wrote:Offtopic CommentKenOath fixed it but he said he wouldn't give fixed Activity Centers. And he has left here, nobody knows where's he or his contact information.

He left here after he was demoted from staff.wasabilee wrote:linuxlove was
I entered beta world in 2013, so I don't know any info about both of them. Just explored older posts.

He is known as Ken on OSBetaWorld, and still posts there occasionally, such as here: http://osbetaworld.b1.jcink.com/index.p ... ic=269&hl=Overdoze wrote:I'm quite sure some people are still in contact with him, don't assume no one knows where he is just because you don't.cantasan99 wrote:Offtopic CommentKenOath fixed it but he said he wouldn't give fixed Activity Centers. Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem

Cause that's how it always looks with the default theme. Blue background with a teacup in bottom right.
Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
*how it's meant to look, but actually doesn't because it's broken. Though IIRC the background used to display properly back in the day.

Huh? Back in the day? It still works fine over here o.0
Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
Used to work for me, but when I try it my VM it's the same as OP's, that is, without the background...

Maybe it's the current BA FTP ISO?
Originally, the ISO BA had wasn't original and had a few (sensible and useful) patches thrown in. The original on there now probably has a few things broken compared to the ISO we were playing around with a few years ago.

Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
I had this problem before, if you take the ISO out of the virtual drive the Activity Center messes up like that for some reason.

So you have to have the neptune iso every time you go to the activity center?TheWindowsXPGuy wrote:I had this problem before, if you take the ISO out of the virtual drive the Activity Center messes up like that for some reason.

Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
If that's true, then perhaps copying ACCORE.DLL to System32 and REGSVR32 from there might work?
EDIT: This is exactly what happens. If you remove the ISO with ACCORE.DLL on it, it'll break the ACs, if you put the ISO back in, ACs are fixed. The solution to this problem is to copy ACCORE.DLL to System32 (where it's most likely to stay permanently) and register it from there.

Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
I got it to work but I can't change the theme or other options EDIT: Works now.
Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
I just saw this topic again and I can confirm that this is exactly what I did to make the AC's working.
To OP: Sorry for posting this late, but I had never noticed this till now.

Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
How do you get to that theme? The only one I have had up so far is the original blue one . . . I installed Neptune on a Dell GX240 this morning and it worked fine until I installed a game then it did nothing but blue screen every time I tried to boot. So I did a quick build of a machine with a PC Chips Socket 462 MB and it ran the game I installed before on it with no hiccups or problems.

Re: Neptune Activity Center Problem
It is Windows Neptune, Build 5111 a beta. What do you expect, of course it won't function properly at times that's why it is called a Beta. You might want to submit a bug report through the app in Neptune, haha. Anyways I never really used the Activity Center back then, but I would love to know how you fixed it, if you did at all.
My Build: FX 4300, MSI 970 Gaming Mobo, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD, GTX 760, NZXT Source 530 with 9 system fans total, with a NZXT 550w Power Supply, custom sleeved cables to top it off.
