A certain someone, whose name you can easily guess, asked me to post this.

I've worked out how to actually run the Activity Center
pages without 1 single byte edited in any single page, though
the pages give a bunch of script errors as there's actually
plenty of apps missing from the Neptune leak, I've worked
out what every app is, & will eventually make installers for
what's actually missing so it ties in with the missing links
in the rest of the pages...

Just off to bed, thought I'd take another look at the responses to the Activity Centers posting,

The fact is, Not only was Neptunes shell taken directly from build 2419, most trick features
from Millennium were directly ported to Neptune, Help Center, Activity Center, Mars Shell, PC-Health, etc, etc,
ALL files pulled directly from Millennium betas, & ported straight into Neptune,
there's probably in excess of 100+ millenium betas files in Neptune...
In some cases, you'll find Neptune files in Millenium Betas as well, like in this pic below, pulled from build 2332...

I have another update, Music Center fix 7c, this'll
be the last for a while as I'm spending too much
time playing, & not enough working...
90% of the links work for now, just by editing the
musicctr.js only, to compensate for the missing
apps from Neptune...
The next updated video will have the apps added,
& the musicctr.js left as standard...

After more time, phone calling & money than I'm willing to
admit to, I've finally found 100% of the applications that
are missing from the Neptune Activity Centers...
This will be the last video showing minor fixes, this is fix 7e...

I've finally also worked out what every single GUID string
represents in the html page layouts, which was the final
phase in connecting all the dots to this mystery
application that many before me have given up on...

I also found that the green player panel skin belongs to
an earlier release of Activity Centers, like the one shown
on Paul Thurrotts sight regarding the prototype Activity
Centers, turns out it wasn't a prototype, but an earlier
build of Activity Centers from a Millennium build around
the 237X range, one that I'm hoping to have within
the next 2 to 3 weeks from now, fingers crossed...
It also turns out that there are 5 different Activity Center
builds known of to date amongst people involved in the
Millennium / Neptune beta days...

Another update, Major one as stated before, I'm nearly done fixing the Music Center,
just one dead link left, not sure yet if it's another file missing that is depended upon
by the one's I've already added to the installation, or if it's a file incompatibility issue,
my guess at the moment is it's missing a file...
& the best part about this is ALL pages are 100% legitimately unmodified...
All the work I did making my own pages seemed like a waste of time at 1st, though
the experience gained from making html, js & css from scratch with just plain old notepad,
gave me the experience needed to connect the dots on how it was meant to work in it's
STD form, so nothing lost, just experience gained...
No updates for some time now though, I'm happy with the progress made so far, + having
another break ,then coming back to it usually always gives me time needed to think of other
possibilities between now & then...

I'm Australian, so when I take screenshots of files, the date format will differ from most other places...

The file dates are 12th of July 1999, not December 7th..!

Another chapter in the fixing of the Neptune 5111
Activity Centers, yeah I know, I was going to take
a break for a while, & not play for a while, but
the finish line is just soo close, I can see it,
& had to have another 7+ hour fiddle tonight...

Now here's something that's absolutely had me
cheering, since fixing 99+ % of the Music Center,
the Photo Center seems to be functioning near
perfect, I knew that the Music & Photo Centers
shared resources as listed in the jscript & css
files, though it seems that adding the multitude
of missing entries in the registry associated with
shell folders for the Game Center, it has also fixed
the Photo Center, obviously they share the same
references in the registry, some of which are
also MS.XMLDSO, understandable I guess since Mars
directly references each folders main xml file
as reference to each page layout...
I haven't really done much of anything regards to
getting the Photo Center working other than
making an exe loader for it in visual basic, cheering..!
I figured on clicking the Photo Center link prior to making
this demo, & to my joyous surprise was met with a working
Photo Center in it's STD unmodified form...

I really do have to have a break now though,
there's approximately 120 odd separate .reg
entries strewn about in various folders, all of
which will eventually need to be merged into one
large .reg file, then there's 23 files that also
need to be added to the same reg file in order to
register them once copied by an installer,
& the amount of txt notes & folders is getting
way too hard to remember each & every location
of each & every file, if I took a break now,
I'd totally lose track of what was where, so
it's time to re-organise the fix folders & file
layout before another thing can be done...

There's 3 links that still don't work in the
Game Center though, & for the sake of not spoiling
a good presentation video, I avoided clicking
those 3 dead links in this video...

I hope you enjoy seeing it all work, as much as I have...

So in my subscription box on YouTube, I am greeted with this:

Managed to score a number of Millennium beta CDs some
time ago, of which finally turned up today, & in amongst them
was a build with the very 1st release of the Activity Centers,
build number one, Developers Pre-Release...
Nothing works in it other than the picture previewer in the
Photo Center edit page, all else is just a layout for
developers to build upon...
I also have build number 2, & from what I'm led to believe
there's another 2 builds again later than the 2 I have here...
Time permitting, I'll take a video of the 2nd build I have, which
is what the Neptune concept screenshots were made from on
Paul Thurrotts sight regarding the Neptune Activity centers...
Note that there's no Game Center in either of these 2 builds, &
all pages are just run by the Marscore, no exe loaders like the
latter builds, including the build in Neptune, bugger, I was hoping
to obtain them, guess I'll have to keep on using the exe loaders I
made for now in the Neptune fix...

Same as demo number 1, only this build appears to have a heap of
added images to each of the installation folders, though very little of
it is used, other than the logo on the music home page, & the crop
page in the photo center, also has a few of the dead links working
now, & the player panel has co-ordinates set to each buttons functions,
in fact, the relevant resources are present in this build to play music in
the green player panel, similar to the blue one in Neptune, though
when I tried to make it work, gave kernel32 errors, another day, another
play, had enough for now & need to concentrate on finishing the game
center in the Neptune version when time permits...

Because some of you can't behave on this forum I had to remove all the irrelevant and volatile posts and keep only those of interest. This topic contains a lot of great information regarding Neptune and I don't want to deprive the members the info.

I hope you don't mind Ken, but I kept only your information along with anything that could be relevant. As you predicted people couldn't behave with this Neptune discussion either so I had to cut out all the garbage. Thanks for all the info, it's a lot of interesting and great stuff here. Awesome job!
