Space Quest IV - Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers (Sierra) (unnumbered beta version) (1991) [English]

WARNING: The text of this readme file assumes you've already played Space Quest IV. Here be spoilers.

On starting up the game, a debug screen will appear, saying "Esc for Opening or Enter Teleport Number". Entering the number of a background room in the resource files will take you to whatever room number you typed in. Pressing Esc starts up the game intro as normal.

The beta version datafiles are lacking the Big and Tall store in the Galaxy Galleria mall: or rather, the screen featuring the entrance to this store from the mall escalators. However, thanks to a bug, there is a workaround that allows you to finish the game.

If Roger tries to use the cash machine next to Software Excess, with his trouser legs still torn up, his walking sprite will develop minor glitches afterward, and his standing sprite will shift to a Sequel Policeman. This sprite alteration allows Roger to get a job at Monolith Burger without visiting the Big and Tall store. Once Roger is fired from Monolith Burgers, his sprite returns to normal.

The incomplete mall also means that, when using the Skate-O-Rama to escape the Sequel Police, Roger must enter and exit the skating rink the same way, via the stairway next to the Arcade, after making a loop through all four Skate-O-Rama screens. (Also, trying to reach Radio Shock to get the PocketPal adapter after exploring Vohaul's compound won't work.)

There is no version number (or, to be precise, there's a blank space where it should be). The score bar lists a total of 69 points, none of which you can get anyway. Also a sizeable portion of the game messages have dummy text meant to be rewritten later.
