Microsoft Word 1.00 PC World Demo
Released in 1983 by Microsoft
For IBM PCs running DOS
Image quality: Unused, appears unmodified
This is the Microsoft Word demo disk sent out with copies of PC World
in 1983. It requires an IBM PC running DOS and at least 128k of ram.
Note that this demo is limited in its functionality and can not save
documents.
This archive contains one 160k floppy disk image.
The Word demo is not copy protected.
This disk is formatted for DOS 1.x and will not open in WinImage.
Important: This disk was incorrectly mastered. The disk contains an
8-sector single sided 160K DOS 1.x image, however the tracks are
incorrectly formatted with 9 sectors, and there is some half-readable
garbage on the second side. This will confuse many image utilities
and later versions of DOS.
When creating a 160K image file for emulation or writing a fresh
disk, we advise discarding these extra sectors.
