Re: Disconnected From the Upload FTP Server

Everything software you buy through normal means are retail ones and if they were sold on physical media, they will be accepted. Can you think of something you buy (distributed on physical media) that won't be accepted (except for the few on the blacklist)? Compilations, and shareware come to mind....

[REQ] Windows NT SP6a Arabic Ed.

Used to exist back on Microsoft's website, here , but unfortunately the link is dead and it isn't saved in the Wayback Machine. There are several multilingual SP6a versions on the FTP, but sadly no arabic. sp6patch_i386.exe used to update NT from SP6 to SP6a is also fine as I already have SP6 instal...

You should do both, patch the activation with winlogon AND remove the timebomb with TweakNT.
If you haven't saved a snapshot of the VM you're out of luck, you need to reinstall.

Re: Mouse problem with Millennium 2348

Hello. Recently I installed a beta build of Windows ME - build 2348, also known as Developer Release 2. I set the BIOS date, the install went normally, but, after install, I'm greeted with an hourglass icon next to my cursor. I can move the mouse, but that's basically all I can do. My VM config is:...

Try using an older/newer Win32s version. Or just use Windows 95.

Yeah there is kind of no point in spending >$1000 for a Mac. They aren’t very good tbh and you can just install windows on it. Apple has better build quailty in their products than most PC manufacturers. You can just pick a 50-150$ used MacBook Pro off of ebay and you can still get all your work do...

Re: Any hack to run VPC on Win10?

I believe you are correct. I might have heard rumours say that Virtual PC can work on Windows Vista. However, they also said that it wasn't very certain, but it is. Virtual PC 2007 was released only for the Windows platform, with public beta testing beginning October 11, 2006, and production releas...

Re: Any hack to run VPC on Win10?

VPC can run on Windows 7 and 8, but I don't think it does on Windows Vista. Or does it? Virtual PC 2007 was made with Vista compatibility in mind and it still worked on 7 , despite MS's efforts to pull on the "Windows Virtual PC" thing (which is available via an update). 8 (and 8.1) breaked this co...

Re: Adobe Creative Cloud is NO GOOD!

To be fair, I can see why a subscription model is annoying. Sure, you get new features, but I think most of them wouldn't care much and would just want on that 'works'. It's the same with Office - I think 90 - 95% of users will be just as fine with Office 2010 rather than going for Office 365... He...

Same. As an android dev it would be interesting to check out the old versions of the sdk, and I've always found WinCE quite fascinating but never got to find any proper emulator.

Finally fixed up my main, although it still needs an LCD cable that's coming from china (and it'll take a while).
For now I'm using an HP L1710 with it, since we don't have any other monitor around the house.

What about patches released after "Security rollup"? Windows Update v3.1 was working until about two-three years ago, I don't know if there were more patches released. Does anyone know about or have those patches? I believe MDGx still hosts most of the patches. For links on MS's website you can use...

How can you dump software at all if you don't have an optical drive? So of course it won't let you as a _dumping_ tool requires you to have the device to _dump the data from_.... I might’ve understood it wrong then, sorry. Let’s suppose I have some files from a beta and I want to upload it to the F...

It is possible to avoid this but I unfortunately don't know how, over at BW BF10 installed several builds in VPC under Vbox.

Does the mouse work well? I've tried this before but it always runs too fast within the vpc machine, even with the additions installed.
