What would you class as “worthwhile” or "valuable"? Any beta’s I’ve had that have not been on BetaAchive I’ve uploaded to the FTP.

I’m sure many people here would be very interested in this stuff, all I could offer is invites to a few websites that are hard to get in to, nothing really beta related.

I hope somebody can make you a good offer.

The Nostalgia Project hosts about a tenth of my collection.

Compare the amount of content on their website with the screens I have provided.

We've had this conversation before unfortunately. Its impossible for any of us to give you anything you think will be worthwile because we share our findings on the FTP. So other then stuff we freely distribute, we don't have anything super secret. If you haven't got the Starcraft battlenet beta, I could give you that ISO.

As everyone has said already, this is a place of mutual sharing and beta discussions. If anyone has something to share and want something in return they share it here. They get credit for the work, they get discussion and in return they can grab whatever they want that everyone else uploaded to the site. We don't deal with "I give you this if you give me that" trading, it's not how we do our business. Whatever members don't share they do it for personal reasons and we respect that, but we urge members to share, for the sake of preservation and also to allow people to experience these rare pieces of software. Who can say if an accident happens to your computer and you lose everything, then the software you keep secret would perhaps be lost forever.

If any member wants to do trading with you we will not bother of course, but BetaArchive lives and thrives on members offering their saved pieces of history to the site. We all just hope yours doesn't fall into oblivion.

Everything we got is available to you for free once you clear the qualification part, and we have that only to prevent leechers to drop in, suck us dry without a thanks and leave again. If you're interested in sharing your bits with BetaArchive (as a regular release or our "RAF" releases (Release-a-fortnight, special releases gets this attention)) then you are free to upload your stuff or contact me or Andy and we'll setup something for you.

If you've joined just to post this, I have to admit you're better off in one of "those private communities" - we don't do trading here. Contributing can be done in many ways, and tangible contributions matter as much as joining with the intent of staying in the community as a "good" member for the months and years to come.

The purpose of the post was to tempt someone into sharing something special/rare, that I, and most other people, hadn't seen before.

That's what I originally hoped Valve to do with Half-Life, what a let down.

I guess everyone is not as sharing as GSC (they just gave away a 2004 build of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. if you didn't already know).

Well, that sounds great then. And we don't have any beliefs that your intentions are bad. We are just stating the fact that BA is based on free sharing among all members. But what is shared and under what circumstances is a decision the sharer decides on. Either way you're most welcome to join BA and share your opinions, ideas, thoughts and binaries ( ) with us!

Includes source codes, original PSDs for some things, and tons and tons of maps and daily exe/dll compiles and so on. Even the original waves for the soundtrack (some are even unmastered versions of the songs). PM me if you'd be interested in trading for that.

I've never actually played the game having heard it was an utter failure, but I shall consider.
