Desqview/X
Desqview/X
Anyone ever use it? I'm trying to set it up along with TCP/IP access and am having the worst time ever. I just run out of memory even on 64MB of RAM (I know it's the DOS-level RAM it's struggling with).
Re: Desqview/X
Yes, I've run it in the day, and for "fun". Running X on Linux is what I pushed everyone to after demonstrating how fragile desqview is.
The Novell tcpip is touchy. It's always been a challenge, and the payoff isn't there for any practical reasons.
From the top of my head, don't load anything that isn't needed. No CD-ROM, no disk cache, nothing you absolutely don't need.

Re: Desqview/X
Are you using QEMM that comes with it?
Make sure you are not using himem, and emm386 from dos, it runs better if you use QEMM.
I had it running on a 486 laptop with 20mb.
I'll have to admit I havent tried running external X apps, just the ones that come with it, I have to say its also interesting running windows through it as well.
