10 years... and to think original-OSBA only lasted about three and a half years or so...

Do we have any total uploaded/download counts? As in data transfer?

Unfortunately nothing reliable. We've changed servers, hardware and software during these 10 years and it's not been possible to transfer and merge any useful statistical data. I do have some data from the previous FTP server I used, but that's all, and I have since then changed to a different FTP server software since the previous one failed to run properly.

Happy birthday BA, here's to another 10 years! I remember when BA was 7 or so years old, there were hardly 10 TB on the archive. Only two years later we now have over 30 TB of releases on the FTP server. Most of it is W10 stuff but yes, there are a lot of new things in there as well.

Plus, the original OSBA only lasted 3 years and the new OSBA has only been around for less than 2 years. Congratulations for a full decade of archiving. I never knew whe would get this far. Time really flys by. (^) <:o)

But I guess this doesn't matter either....

Wow, 10 years of BA! OSBA died over 10 years ago. That's certainly surprising - it doesn't feel like a decade passed, which is kinda disheartening. Time seems to pass far quicker as I get older :/
16 years of BA experience; I refurbish old electronics, and archive diskettes with a KryoFlux. My posting history is 16 years of educated speculation and autism.

It's sad to see it go but it really did feel dead. I would have preferred to keep it open personally but I can see why it was locked. Sad how it all seemed to be going so well and then stopped, but hey MS copyright action was gonna happen at some point anyways...

10th birthday... most 10 year olds can already read, write, do basic life stuff. It's a really long time. Thank you Andy and mrpijey for running the site and congratulations on keeping it up for so long. This is a really valuable resource for everyone interested in betas and abandonware.

Happy 10th birthday to BetaArchive indeed! A lot has changed here since I registered, and the total size of the files on the FTP Server is increasing faster than predicted by Moore's Law if I am not mistaken.

Yes, I am aware that strictly speaking, Moore's Law does not apply to this.

While that line does technically rhyme, "Happy Birthday dear BA" or "Happy Birthday BetaArchive" would have preserved the syllable count.
