You probably already know that 3.0 MME includes a 320x200x256 color driver. I used the experimental pcem to run it(any VGA card works), and this is the outcome(this is just an experiment, I got it running at 800x600x24 bit color on exp. pcem as well):
Is there any way I can make the fonts more readable? I know it's an extremely low resolution, but I want to see how "usable" it is.

All hail the almighty PRIUS!!!

There is not. Remember that this is running with a 200% scaling - if you resize this to actual 320x200, you will see that the system font used is a piece of pixel art specifically designed to both occupy the least space and to be the most readable.ovctvct wrote:Is there any way I can make the fonts more readable? To put alphabeta's post into perspective, PCEm is actually kicking off 640x400 resolution as stated.
Here is the window cropped out:
Then, if you resize to actual 320x200, it looks far better:
I would hate to see this running on one of those 2-3" 320x200 screens.

Once I get home I'll try make that a realityI would hate to see this running on one of those 2-3" 320x200 screens
You know those little 1.5" digital photo keyring things? I have one that can be controlled via USB. Add a python script and bam we have Win3.1 "streamed" to it... in theory. I've done it with Androidx86 before on a VirtualBox VM, so it *should* work with pcem
Any users with a KryoFlux in the UK: if you could dump some floppies if I send them to you, that'd be awesome. PM me.

- yourepicfailure: But a real graphics card will itself scale 320x200 to 640x400, it's how it has been done since the CGA.

Yes I know that. Which is why I didn't write: "for some reason, PCEm is actually kicking off 640x400 resolution".Battler wrote:- yourepicfailure: But a real graphics card will itself scale 320x200 to 640x400, it's how it has been done since the CGA.
