[UPLOADED] Windows 3.02 Japanese IBM OEM for PC and PS/55

This has made it to Vetsuware recently, on proper floppy images even. It is technically for the PS/55 like the Japanese 3.10.153 IBM OEM, but just like that one, it also works perfectly on regular PC compatibles under DOS/V. The PS/55 is after all a PC compatible with hardware Japanese support, though implemented a bit differently from the other Japanese PC compatible architecture (the AX).

Edit: Removed the RAR and modified the thumbnails so they link to the full-sized screenshots (on the BetaArchive Image Uploader) instead.
Here are several screenshots, from Setup to the installed OS, taken with PCem-Unofficial and its integrated screenshot-taking feature, Windows 3.02 installed on top of IBM DOS J4.05/V that is already on the FTP:

Edit: Also, TheCollector found references in the Readme to 3.0 and 3.01, so I guess those exist in Japanese too. Also, there's that Japanese 3.0 for PC that was released on the Microsoft Far East SDK.

Well, iirc winhistory.de has a screenshot of 3.00a Japanese, but I don't know if it's for NEC PC-98 or IBM PC compatibles.

How do I install the DOS 4.0/V? I tried several times but it never is bootable.

This shows that it works on both those versions and that it obtains the double-byte part of the font (ie. the part with kana and kanji) from DOS.

Really? I always get this:

Using AMI 386 clone. With PC AT I get stuck on BIOS configuration.
Never mind. Turns out I didn't set the disk drive correctly in PCem. It was at 1.44 MB which cannot read 1.2 MB disks.

Also, I ment to say I have a screenshot of the 4.06/V installer. I think the copy of the FTP is the DOS files while the 5.0/V is the installer.

I used a Pentium board, both floppy drives set to 1.44 MB 3-Mode, and configured as such in CMOS Setup as well. The DOS booted fine. Plus you need at least one 1.44 MB drive anyway since the 3.02 comes on 1.44 MB images.

Hacking through setup.exe and win.cnf, with the famous DOS/V font emulator dosvfont.com loaded, I did get this version to run in DOSBox.
What a dirty approach to load display font using DOS/V int 15h, just like they did in PC-98 3.0!
however it did have bitmap fonts PS55DGxx.JFD (Gothic) and PS55DMxx.JFD (Mincho) installed by default.



It's not fully localized as it's write.exe has the so-called "Semi-Kanji" bug and the preinstalled IME is barebone.
