Launching StarCraft II Beta enUS 13891 in 2015

Post by Evan »

Hi Guys,

I probably should have prepared for this years ago when I actually had access to the beta, but alas I did not.

I'm trying to get the old Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty Beta to start up for archival and research purposes. Currently i'm downloading the 13891 version from the Beta Archive FTP which luckily, is the same version of the lazylauncher I had on an old hard drive.

All the beta torrents are dead, none of the beta tools appear to be online, which could be a problem as the game still needs cache files that it probably wont download anymore.

Do any of you guys have the old 13891 cache files available? Do any of you guys have a working copy of the 13891 build?

Thanks,
Evan.

Well you would still need to get a Battle.net server running that works with this game, as you can't login. Installing the game and launching it works just fine, but you can't login.

If someone has a copy of the cache files, I have the offline launcher for this version.

Here are the maps ("cache files") and launcher for them. Have fun!
