Very poorly written article.

Was known right from before Windows 10 RTM'd that Windows 10 IoT was not coming to the Galileo boards, they only ever got 8.1 IoT.

They should've made Windows 10 for the more powerful board first... what a waste of time.

erm...

Windows 10 was never supported on the Galileo, and it was never intended to be. The main target of Windows 10 IoT - the Raspberry Pi 2 - was not out when the 8.1 version was developed, which was a rather different beast anyway. 8.1 IoT was a very custom tiny image with a lot stripped out - even multi-core support had been stripped. Windows 10 IoT is basically a Windows 10 Mobile image at its heart with the mobile shell and tools stripped.
