I thought I'd make a thread for the release of the next technical preview of Windows 10 for Phones.
It got released this very minute at 2:00 PM BRT according to GabeAul on Twitter, but the forum's time still says 5:58.
In this topic we'll discuss the build number(s), new features, and impressions about the latest TP for Phones.

The system is slow and the new apps have a very different look and feel compared to WP7.x/8.x
I predict that previous Windows Phone users will be very disappointed.

I have just installed it on my Lumia 520 and it's really great.
It's slow at the moment, but that's excusable since the phone is low end and getting quite old.

The new calendar app is full of colour and fits nicely together with the new Windows Calendar app. The same goes for the new mail app.

The new theme is a big improvement over the old one. Everything feels fresh and clean. The app list for example is now transparent over the photo background. Tiles are not completely saturated anymore but also show a bit of the background. This makes them look very modern. The action center has not been made partially transparent yet; I hope that will come in a future build.

Many apps have been rewritten to look more modern. The font has been made smaller and the carousel type apps now have a band running across the top with icons for every separate screen instead of large text spanning over multiple views. Sadly though, side scrolling seems to have disappeared, while I personally thought this to be one of the most intuitive gestures on a phone. Hamburger menus are often used instead now, or you need to click on a dedicated icon.

I haven't been able to find the new animated home screens that were previewed on Build last year. This might be due to the low amount of RAM my device has, or it might come via an update in the app (which is now too slow to be usable).

Overall I really like the new build. Although a lot has to be fixed, it looks and feels clean and modern. Just what the OS needed.

Have anyone managed to run it(or any other build of Windows Phone 10) in the windows phone emulator?

Disclaimer: The list might be missing a few packages as my wifi adapter did some weird things at the beginning, I can no certify that it is complete

gus33000: I can confirm that it is incomplete. It is missing microsoft.mobilecore.prod.mainos.spku which is a ~150mb file that contains ntoskrnl and other critical system files.

That's what I thought. Anyway I will redo some spoofing later, but not right now as I'm busy with stuff at the moment. Also :

Yeah ! I have a prototype phone. No really, it just the update that put your phone in not for resale mode, I don't think this was intended by MS, but heh.
