Hi ,
When I'm using Windows 10 build 10041 , at a random moment , the display goes black(but the pointer still remains - I think it's a display driver crash) and I cannot recover from it. CRTL-ALT-DELETE may not work or barely and I am forced to hard-reset the laptop.
And , also on other occasions , it may just hangup and the mouse will virtually stop working(it'll move , but clicks won't work) while making some pulsating-like noises.
Are any of you experiencing these problems? Is there any way I can get out of this problem?

Assuming you use a UEFI-based system, try switching your graphics driver to the EFI framebuffer driver.

No , I use BIOS.The Distractor wrote:Assuming you use a UEFI-based system, try switching your graphics driver to the EFI framebuffer driver.
The graphics is quite old(GMA 950) , but I haven't experienced any of these issues with any other OS(or build).

I think probably the driver not installed correctly.

The laptop may just be to old.
Re: Windows 10 build 10041 hangups
Well , I did not see this in any other build or OS.snoopy6489 wrote:The laptop may just be to old.

Are you using Windows' supplied drivers or did you install Intel's ?

Have you tried switching to the Intel's one? (I had a similar problem with audio)
