Windows 10 new build lab

Post by ReztaNZ »

I noticed that there is another new build lab for Windows 10;

"fbl_swat"

I could be wrong but I think this lab will be used for our windows insider builds?
Since fbl_awesome1501 is meaningless after the end of this month *hehe*

I doubt it. There's been loads of new (pointless) labs introduced for 100xx builds.

I think the most likely explanation for fbl_swat is it's for the SWAT (Systems, Workloads and Tests) Telemetry Team.

I agree with hounsell. "fbl_dart" is another recent one. I suggest we don't create topics every time there's a new build lab.

ReztaNZ, what ever happened to those "Apple Internal iOS Tools"? :P

Seems like there are multiple SWAT teams inside Microsoft though...

Windows Application Experience SWAT Team
Silverlight SWAT Team
Customer SWAT Team
Azure ISV SWAT Team
To deliver the best customer response ever we are building a SWAT team, “SQL Server Tiger Dev Team”, which has a primary objective of servicing SQL Server’s customers in the “Mission Critical Support Program” and an opportunity in the longer run to build supportability features. We are looking for strong systems level developers to join this growing team.
And there is also an Internet Explorer Simple Web Application Toolkit (SWAT)...

That Telemetry thing seems to be the most likely meaning though...

------

I wouldn't be too surprised of we would be seeing a fbl_awesome1502 soon.... Similar to what Microsoft is doing with those xb_rel_14xx branches for the Xbox One firmware....

Well, a wild 10.0.9931.0 (fbl_awesome1501.150124-2321) appeared on winstore...

I just saw that too, any idea why we aren't getting forked builds? Or would Build 10006 = 9931 if it wasn't forked?

It was a mistake, Gabriel Aul confirmed that via Twitter.

No, the mistake was some update that set ThresholdInternal 1 or something.
