[Request] 3D Studio Max 4.0 (Disc 1 and 2)

Post by Kahdragz »

I lost these years ago and would like to get a copy of them back for my collection. Specifically, the 4.0 release, not the 4.2 ISO which is floating around; which I think is a warez repack.

 That one, I cannot help , as I purchased the 4.2 bundle (too many bugs in the R4, aka Max 4, release).

I do have an dear old friend, who was/is still a Freedom Force enthusiast/programmer, and might be able help, however...

I will put out a clarion call! :D

Update

My so-called "dear old friend" told me to bugger off. In person.

Even *after* I showed him this site and explained this site's mission - to simply preserve beta versions and old software versions no longer offered by the manufacturer.

I am quite put out... :(

UPDATE

I have located this exact title from another colleague. Pristine and unbespoilt with the (very antiquated) Web media and plugin demos (read: combustion) too. ;) He has never even used it! :OD

I am working with the owner to upload this to BA. ;)

Do you have any other 3D related software?

I have HASH Animation Master, Wings3D, Milkshape, and Blender as well. All of them have a specific function, and do not rely on any one programme.

No, not these these titles. Because:

1) HASH version I have is not abandonware yet (i.e less than 10 years old).

2) Wings3D ; no original disc medium/DLC only at-no-cost-to-you. Current/older versions can be found here.

NOTE: Milkshape is not the best programme in the world, but can be extremely useful to convert b'twixt different formats, particularly formats for older games.

3) Milkshape (3D); no original disc medium/DLC only . Can be found here.

4) Blender can be found online and is also at-no-cost-to-you. (I detest the word "free" - no such animal ;) ).

The only things I am uploading to the FTP are older, out of print, 10 years+ versions of 3D softies and relevant updates/plugins which can no longer be found.
