Windows Technical Preview Build 9860 Bug.
Hello, I recently did the update from Build 9841 to Build 9860. The install went fine but I am wondering if anyone else is having these graphical issues with text.

I am unable to upgrade, when i try to install, the computer simply restarts. I am using en-GB x86 on a VmWare virtual machine.

Make sure locale is set to en-gb and keyboard layout is en-gb.kinokijuf wrote:I am unable to upgrade, when i try to install, the computer simply restarts. I am using en-GB x86 on a VmWare virtual machine.

I believe both locals have to be set to en-gb if you are using en-gb version of windows 10.kinokijuf wrote:System or user locale? System locale is the “language for non-unicode programs”, user locale is whatever you got in the region control panelArchenemy wrote:I believe both locals have to be set to en-gb if you are using en-gb version of windows 10.

Just set everything to the language of the OS. Even having different Regional Settings and Keyboard Layout will make Windows unable to update.

That's not my experience Battler. I was on en-us Windows with Czech keyboard layout and Czech regional settings and it updated without problems.

Then there is something else other than the language preventing him to update.jagotu wrote:That's not my experience Battler. I was on en-us Windows with Czech keyboard layout and Czech regional settings and it updated without problems.
