When I was browsing the Microsoft website from 2002 on the wayback machine, in the windows media player section of the site it had some samples of audio and video showing off windows media 8 series. One of the video samples was this film called Kelseyville by Microsoft Studios. When I watched it, it was clearly some kind of Movie that came out then but I've looked all over google and couldn't find out anything about it or if it was even really a full Movie. Does someone know what it is and if there is a write up about it somewhere?
You can watch the clip by clicking this link to download it.

I think it was by Microsoft, but could be anything. However, this article (web email archive) I searched up seems to be a hint that it's by MS Studios, since it mentions "DRM". The "marc.info" site is the only webpage that pulled up from Google that only uses English, others are Dutch, Japanese, and Chinese. The following site is the group of 3 emails that seems to relate to topic:

This is crazy how there is that little of information on the internet for this considering that it looks to have a pretty big production and that clip was not the full thing. I don't see why Microsoft would keep it from being released on dvd or have an article about it. It's not that I care to see the film but that it just bothers me that I can't know anything about it. But thank you for finding that for me.

All I see is this:
https://web.archive.org/web/20010604193 ... /video.asp
https://web.archive.org/web/20010604193 ... 500VBR.wmv
Which just offers the video in 500kb
Windows Media Audio V8
64 kbps, 44 kHz, stereo
Weird they don't embed any information into the video.
And a brief mention here.

Which means if this was shot in 1996 it should be on more of the video for windows stuff, or they held onto this for a while...

It's kind of funny that not only is this not listed on imdb, but almost everyone doesn't have it on their personal sites either.

Thank you for finding all that out for me. I guess it was a short film since it was only a half hour.
