I have little problem installing Windows Memphis build 1415!
I installed it with its original iso image in VMware Workstation, but after its setup when the virtual machine was rebooted, a RED screen apeared to me, then it rebooted again and I had to type c:\windows\win to load it. However a BSoD apeared saying there was a missing device for vFat. What is it? What I have to do?
Re: I have little problem installing Windows Memphis build 1
Did you change the BIOS date before installing?
Also, vFat is an extension of the FAT file system developped by Microsoft.
It was introduced with Windows 95 and was used to pull off the long filenames trick, you can always try to locate the vFat device driver from W95 and inject it to Memphis.

Yes, I had to change the BIOS date before installing to April 1993 because if the date was April 2014 it Memphis won't load!mspeter97 wrote:Did you change the BIOS date before installing?

Did you disable ACPI in the BIOS? The 'red screen' you mentioned was an ACPI error. Early 14xx builds of Memphis don't co-operate well with the ACPI support in VMware and Virtual PC 2007.
