You can jailbreak any device A4 and lower tethered on any firmware (that includes future ones too), thanks to mainly geohot's limera1n exploit. :P

Is it easy to upgrade from 5.1.1 to 6 beta? How would you do it?

Make absolutely sure you have your device's UDID signed before upgrading. If you don't you'll be stuck with a brick until you downgrade.

Yep, don't mess up your phone or you'll have to make calls from a brick! *hehe*

Apple has done what I expected.IOS 6.0 does only run on IPod Touch 4G, not on earlier models.

UDID signed? Better google that. But if it only requires a downgrade, its not that bad...

Yeah. If you go to DFU mode, you can restore your firmware to the latest one from the Release channel.

So Apple thinks in iOS6, it can rewrite the alphabet.

Apparently, iOS 6 also gives you a signal strength of -113 when on 3 3G *hehe*

Looks more like -1333. I wonder how far from the towers you need to be to get a negative.

How does it run?

I've thought about it for my iDevices, but will wait until the dust settles a bit. (Same thing with the early adoptions of iOS 4 and all the hopla about apps crashing and what not, thus people often have to downgrade...IF Apple is still signing the previous versions!)

I'd definitely backup the APTicket, SHSH blobs and all that. I have seen some stuff on Cydia for iOS 5, don't know what stuff is there for iOS 6. On that note, the theme market lags behind the current releases.

Runs great. I've had minimal crashes and incompatibilities this time around, really have no desire to go back to iOS 5 at this point.
Of course, I don't jailbreak at this point, so if you do your mileage may vary.

Are there any new features you'd like note that are worthwhile? Wikipedia's handy Version History is cool, but what would you write home about?

For instance, I don't see much use in the multitouch gestures on a 3.5" screen, but on my iPad 1 3G, it works great. One reason it works great is that it prolongs the life of the home button, since I'd planning on keeping mine until it breaks.

iOS 6 is a pretty small upgrade to be honest, so it's all up to how you appreciate the little things that are included. The new turn-by-turn navigation feature included in the new Maps application is amazing considering you get it for free and has essentially displaced my other GPS applications. The "Post to Facebook" and "Tweet" buttons in the Notification Center are great little features.
I thank goodness that Mail now has a pull to refresh feature (a la Twitter). I'm also a huge Siri user so I appreciate the improvements made to both its accuracy as well as its functionality.
iOS is about the little things, but the little things add up.

Good that they introduced Cantonese in Siri. However, the Map is a crap!

Is that new silver-ish theme the default? I really like it, it looks sleek and modern :)

Anyway, grabbing it as well, going to test it out...

Only in the Music application.

Also:

iBoot will jump to a signed iBEC which matches the Apple signed APTicket+nonce.
